Maintenance and Engineering Manager (1802603) – Lima, OH
BASF is currently seeking a Maintenance and Engineering Manager at its Lima, Ohio manufacturing facility - Fort Amanda Specialties(FAS). FAS, a joint venture between AkzoNobel and BASF Corp, are a major producer of chelating agents that are used in a broad range of applications.
Where the Chemistry Happens
You will provide input as part of the Site Leadership Team on strategic plans as well as drive and manage the systems of Mechanical Integrity, Mechanical Reliability, Capital Projects and Process Technology and also develop long range plans for the plant obsolescence.
Formula for Success
Leading a team, you will provide direction and support in the successful execution of numerous projects throughout the year and develop budgets and prioritization.
Your proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities will be an asset to ensure safe, productive, and effective craft maintenance is carried out.
Leveraging your strong interpersonal skills, you will engage with the BASF project and technical communities to guide the Site engineering team to implement major projects and initiatives while facilitating resolutions to a variety of problems and issues.
Your working knowledge of OSHA PSM, equipment design standards, basic engineering principles, LEAN/Six Sigma, statistics, computer operations, process control, root cause analysis are essential for this role.
Your knowledge of the Chemical Industry and Government/Regulatory standards & requirements will be critical in meeting business goals and complying with safety and environmental requirements.
Your strong educational and broad based professional background in Engineering (or a related technical discipline) is critical for maintenance, LEAN manufacturing processes and reliability improvement processes.
As an expert in continuous improvement, you will champion these processes across the organization and site.
