Generation Why

If you’re new to the world of the true-crime podcast, this one will help you to get your feet wet into this scary pool of true crime. The hosts Aaron and Justin have been making their podcast since 2012 and have quite the episode span to boot. You’ll have almost an episode a day to listen to, but you’ll probably be too hooked to stop listening.

This podcast is all about the details when it comes to true crime. Hosts Mike Ferguson and Mike Morford focus mostly on cold cases, but they tend to hone in on various pieces of evidence that could have possibly led to cracking those very cases. If you’re in the mood for spooky, this series will leave you on the edge of your seat. You can listen to this podcast on Saturday nights at 10 P.M.

Morbid: A True Crime Podcast

Witty banter between hosts Ash and Alaina keep this podcast a little on the lighter side with every case that they tackle each week. They describe their podcast series as a lighthearted nightmare. As an autopsy technician and a hairstylist, they give you quite the dose of research and comedy flare.

Murder City: True Crime of Houston, Texas

This one hits close to home being that it’s in my backyard of Texas, Murder city is a biweekly podcast series that covers true crime focused solely in the area of Houston. Host CC discuses the dark stories that are the unsolved murder mysteries to current murder cases. You will see Houston in an entirely new light after listening to this series. You can listen to this series every other Saturday.

Once Upon a Crime

Each month host Esther Ludlow does deep dives into the world of crime. With various themes, she chooses to underline her podcasts; you’re always left wanting more. In the past, her topics have gone between murders that inspired music to cases of children murdering their parents. While she covers some super dark topics, Ludlow is highly fascinated and overwhelmingly addictive.
