Branches of Wisdom

BRANCHES OF WISDOM

My exchange of comments lately with the thoughtful Tricia Mitchell led to the writing of this buzz. Tricia wrote "Dearest @Ali Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee you are too kind. I have greater breadth than depth, where my knowledge is concerned (as a former interpreter, I learned to become Jack of all trades, master of a few!); I've also been fortunate to learn from others who were/are further along their healing journey that I was/am.

I responded to Tricia by writing "You bring to my mind a new idea- if we grow like trees then we keep branching out meaning no matter what we keep moving into new subjects of learning. You are doing the right things my friend. I am considering expanding this response into a buzz".

If we grow like trees grow then we need to branch out. The more subjects of interest we move into, the more the tree shall produce branches. Even if we decide to cut off an old branch of interest it may never grow again the way it was. However; the branch may leave behind a bud which might sprout and eventually lead to the formation of new brands. It isn't only we can't kill a mocking bird, but also a "mocking branch".

To grow trees need to have good roots. A tree shall only die if it roots stop functioning. Plants store their extra sugars in the roots as a source of energy when photosynthesis isn't performed. Cutting a tree branch doesn't deplete the tree of energy and it therefore survives. The roots get nutrients and water from the soil and these nutrients flow with water to the other parts of the tree. We too need to have "roots" of knowledge" in which we may store our surplus energies and to be able o flow "nutrients of knowledge" to the other parts of our tree of growth. We need different nutrients (knowledge) to grow healthily. To focus on one area is like giving one type of nutrients to a tree and this isn't healthy, the least to say.

Trees keep growing in height and then start to grow to increase their widths. This is the time for a general practitioner to become a specialist. I believe this is the strategy of beBee platform. We are exposed to different nutrients (hives) from which we may grow and produce different branches of knowledge. We may constantly grow new branches. The old branches of knowledge may seem dead; in fact they give us the structure to hold our growth. What we leave behind might be the support needed to keep growing and branching.

We need to have roots deep in the soil of knowledge to grow in different directions. Only when we have reached certain heights we may broaden our knowledge in a selected area.

We need to have roots deep in the soil of knowledge to grow in different directions. Beautifully said Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee I cannot wait to share the different directions I am on right now! It's a new budding branch I think.

surely you are a born poet dear Tausif Mundrawala. Yes we make false assumptions. It is onlt recently that science found the intricate relatioship between trees and fungi. Who knows if there is a hidden relationship between weeds and trees. Love the clarity with which you express yourself.

The tree so beautiful that you describe CityVP 🐝 Manjit, must be linked to all others. For wisdom without knowledge is impossible, and new saplings need to be fed discernment to know what is and is not, no? Love your trail of thought!

What a transformative comment. Thank you for your thoughts and your words. Not meaning to hijack Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBeePost but to extend the metaphor of the "slime", i would add: If Proverbs 3 offers the end game then Proverbs 2 provides the path. The path being discernment. Wisdom without understanding is merely an encyclopedia. Discernment would imply that we need to see the Slime and discern wisdom and understanding in application of living within humanity. I was struck by your thoughts concerning the dynamic vs binary. If I have discerned correctly the binary would state wisdom is within the parts where dynamic is the trust of the whole tree of life. I believe you have described faith here. Through discernment we can look at the parts and develop a trust in either our own wisdom or grow the trust of understanding the whole, dynamic. Please accept my apologies here if i have taken to much liberty with your comment, @CityVP Manjit

The greatest wisdom of a tree is that it is fractal. The greatest single fractal is the tree of life. We are interconnected with all pieces of knowledge. The fractal relationship of a tree is the self-symmetry of the tree, which in turn means if we even represent the smallest branch of the whole, we are built of the strength that every other fractal of the tree that is not us. Tree of knowledge is where we are assessing existence in generalist and specialist terms and this is a binary relationship, whereas mathematically the tree of life is a whole and integrated relationship where abundance and its relationship with infinity creates a very dynamic relationship. Which wisdom then is greater, the present binary relationship or the future dynamic relationship? If beBee forms a dynamic relationship, then it will be a part of a transformation which is wholly new. There will be a new relationship with the future but so long as it is satisfied with low hanging fruit like personal brand, it is the past which is still growing. There are those of us who can smell a new era being in the air and that is a whole new kind of tree which might define a whole new form of life growth for the next four hundred years. Maybe it is more appropriate to call that tree, the Tree of Wisdom, because simply accumulating knowledge does not necessarily infer wisdom. Look at the state of the brutality, maybe it is lessening but it is still there and if it is still there, this is not a wisdom. Check again what Proverbs 3:17-19 says. "Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be".
We feel lucky to have a growing culture here on beBee of Tolerance and wisdom. Feels great to relax on a terrace with refreshing drink, and read some mindfull articles on your favorite platform. Thumbs up, and Cheers!

Everything seems to revolve around that 'restraint' or 'freedom', no? I expect a tree will branch every which way it can, depending on the power its leaves need from the sun. But we could also choose to think of that as greed....survival of the fittest & all that. Who's roots are choking who when everyone is looking at the majesty skyward? But no matter what, it's a pure and delightful concept Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee...the water's just fine!!

Yes purpose is the outcome of finding your sun. But the sun is the motivation that sustains us and our purpose through the seasons. There is no eclipse of the "sun" only seasons where the "sun" provides more than just branch location. The season of healing from a storm, transitioning weather seasons or navigating a drought. The "sun" is the sustainer of life as we grow, heal and navigate the terrain of life. When experience brings darkness we seek the light for inspiration. When darkness describes our narrative we need light to give us direction, comparison and actionable questions. Our reserve is the constant within the light.

I wonder what your sun is Harvey Lloyd. I am trying to respond to this comment, but still my my is searching for the constant "sun". Is it purpose? What to do if the sun eclipses? DUring wintery days- do we need to have reserves and in what form? Yes, you make the journey worthy my friend.

This is the point where my thoughts on human free will reside. We can chose our "sun" and make it a constant. Our human variables sometimes though present us with missed opportunities in branch development. Even though all the natural constants were present. This why i sense we debate do we have free will. Choosing a wise "sun" that is constant gives us the stability to optimize our branch development during the blights, storms and droughts of life. Even trees, in all of their perfection, endure times less than optimal. Humans will need to find that sun if we are to survive our own self endured storms. Your thoughts and posts are a journey of this finding.

Amazing comment as always Harvey Lloyd. I was thinking about the sun element while writing the buzz. What is equivalent t sun in our case? One prime thought that crossed my mind is the feedback such as your comment here. Illumination from minds like yours and when there are no comments of quality I feel the sun isn't there. Tree grow on certain points (meristems) and follow Fibonacci rules when branching. What is equivalent for us? Now, you got me thinking. I have now more thinking to do.

Harvey Lloyd

منذ 6 سنوات #2

Your thoughts here were captivating as i reduced the greater story to a single point, why did the branch of the tree decide to grow right where it did? Is there some energy or focus that said here is the place for a new branch, or maybe its random. I have always thought that the tree determined branch placement by seeking the sun. Sensing the sun during several days on certain areas of the tree new branches reach in that direction. The sun is a constant, the tree is the variable. Drawing the metaphor over to the human condition. What is our sun? If we, like the tree, are the variable then would not our sun need to be a constant so that we might know where to grow new branches. The proverbial "wheel" discussed in your previous post is when our "sun" becomes a variable too. Now we dont know where to grow branches but we see others growing them and assume they know what they are doing. So we randomly start growing them with hopes they catch the light of day. Determining your sun will not only assist in focused energy to your own branch growth but will also allow for years of life and wisdom development.
