Implantation of Hope

Implantation of Hope

9780f1ba.jpg

The spread of dark news of Corona epidemic is frightening the world and all nations have joined hands trying to prevent the spread of the killer virus. Dark news travel fast and nations are prompted to find the light of hope in controlling this epidemic.

The increasing connectivity of the world is making it complex. The question if the heart of the complex social world is dark in emulation of the dark strange attractor of Mandelbrot that resembles a heart?

a63a34a6.jpg

                                                   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandelbrot_set

There are signs that our world is increasingly becoming chaotic with a dark heart. I like to call this “Social Darkness” that eats up the social capital. Dying professions, increasing poverty of resources, dimmed hearts of the unemployed, increasing broken families, and worldwide spread of diseases and increased levels of carelessness for others are signs of the social dark hearts that lose hopes and faith. What I call “The Chaos of Paradoxes” is spreading and including the paradox that namita sinha described in her comment on my shared previous post on LinkedIn. Namita wrote in her comment “…ignorance is better or information overload ; tranquility or chaos ..,calm or stress ,alone or in company..; happy or distress..--; and then the paradoxes”.

Researches at MIT have found ways to make plants glow without the risk of using genetically-modified processes by injecting solutions of nanoparticles of the glowing chemicals found in some glowing species into the leaves of plants. This process turns the plant’s stored energy into light, similar to how fireflies glow.

How to move out of this situation is the question. We may derive our lessons from nature. How marine species manage to live in the deep darkness of oceans? They depend on self-illumination as ninety percent of them produce their own light. We need people to lighten their paths independently and in this course they also lighten the darkness of others. This idea is in total agreement with what @Kevin Baker wrote in a recent postI invite all people out there to follow their instincts, to be happy, and reconsider their goals to create more for the others, rather than just oneself”. It is not enough that we have only intentions; more important is to act on them as @Harvey Lloyd and Fay Vietmeier in a supportive way. Marine species have different intentions for being self-light glowing. They use this ability to attract mates, warning of approaching danger, distraction to avoid and/or distract predators, communication and mimicry to camouflage and avoid predators.

As we live in the darkness of chaos and the social heart is dark we need to create our own light as marine species do to lighten the dark paths of others. This is genuine social-caring.
Ali Anani

We humans need to produce our own light to serve others and not only ourselves, or to deceive others. This is in agreement with what Tausif Mundrawala meant in his great comment on my previous post by writing “I think they should initiate with the intention of nothing to lose but everything to gain. It's like being a person with a heart and mind of steel where fear of unknown and being rejected doesn't affect them. There is something in them which they keep hiding even with themselves otherwise we would have seen more ideas coming to fruition in many ways. Keep trying until you succeed”.

It s my pleasure to quote you dear Tausif Mundrawala and also thank you for sharing the post. Yes, social pressures sometimes deviate us from doing what is right. Here, we need to be creative and alert on how to respond to these pressures without feeling alienated. I hope you start writing again my friend and that life has less pressure on you.

Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee As always a well thought out and crafted piece. Food for thought! Today I posted a piece on this platform on the fragmentation of democracy in America ... I find this 'darkness' all rather sobering. My dear friend Zacharias 🐝 Voulgaris- Thank you for your appreciation. As I read this part of your comment "Psychological tricks like this can often help us shift our moods" I opened my mouth in surprise. Today, even though I have three drafts of posts almost ready, I decided to write a post about nudging behaviors. So, what you call psychological tricks is in lime with what I mean by nudging ideas that are creative enough to make a change. This is the second time this week that our minds meet.

Dearest Fay Vietmeier I meant my previous posts. I am thinking of writing a post on how to illuminate darkness. It needs fuel, oxygen and catalyst or heat. The fuel is the idea that is ready to glow. The catalyst- the supporters of the idea and oxygen s the freedom to allow such ideas to be exposed. Many ideas that were close to glowing were killed because of their rejection. Just thinking of the fate of astronomers who declared that the earth rotates and the oppression they received. The darkness f ignorance curtailed great ideas from glowing.

Excellent post my dear Ali! This creating our own light may seem daunting at times, so I prefer to think of it as "letting our own light flow through us," which sounds much less of an effort :-) Psychological tricks like this can often help us shift our moods without having to do a lot of mental work, something we may not always have time for. Whatever the case, this self-sufficient attitude of bringing our own light to the world instead of focusing on the darkness is definitely a beam of hope in these turbulent times.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.’ We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we subconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” — Nelson Mandela

Thank you dear Fay Vietmeier I have just send you a personal message and prior to reading your comment. Yes, we come back to the intention that lead to action. Some people have the intention to use quotes from holy books for ill-purposes even if their actions look flowery from the outside. I know of your genuine faith that you acquired over the yeas and self-discovery. Again, I repeat I wish I had the peace of heart you have and the satisfaction you find in such peace of mind. It is with deep respect to this understanding that I realize that I need to learn more from qualified people like yourself before I start using quotes from the holy books without being sure that both my understanding and the context of using them are appropriate, the least to say.

Lisa Vanderburg Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee Lisa … I’m glad you joined in … if you’re “still on your knees” … I hope it’s in prayer for surely we need that ;~) In all communication wisdom should prevail: respect & care & discernment should be exercised In this we are like-minded Lisa & my dear Professor: You both address something vitally important: Sharing from Holy books/Holy Scriptures IS a sensitive matter ... people are "complex" & often a "study of contradiction" We should never be "like a bull in a china shop" when speaking into what, for some may be a "delicate issue" (given the abuses in the church not only today but in history ... this is essential & understandable) The Bible is not a "weapon" ... and should be used as such /however throughout human history this has not stopped persons with wrong-intentions from wrongfully misusing the Truth of Scripture for greed & power/ God has specifically stated a reserved punishment for these I take this very mush to heart… It is written: “If anyone speaks, let it be as one who speaks God's words” (1 Peter 4) It is also written: “I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.” ~ Jesus (John 12) For myself should I reserve speaking from my identity “who I am in Christ” … then I’m a shallow person … speaking in a shallow way ;~)

You know dear Fay Vietmeier- you remind me of two people racing. They start racing not from the same point, but with one takes advantage of twenty meters or more. This is my point to you. You are well ahead of me in understanding the holy book and in not only reading it thoroughly and comprehending it, but also in acting in accordance with its illuminating heart. I don't even dare to compare myself with you on this race. I am way behind. As for your question "I ask the same question I ask Lada: “darkness is part of being human” … so how do we change the darkness of humanity? I answered this in my previous comment. I reassure you that I have deep respect for your spiritual strength and your commandment of it- something I lack considerably. Fay Vietmeier What you wrote resonates very well with me "It has been my practice over decades of studying the Bible to read not just a verse or line but to understand the CONTEXT for truth & understanding is what I seek". Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee In conclusion: I like how you say this & we agree: “You are right to say that all humans shine, because there is no darkness without light. Fay Vietmeier

Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee (part 2) … I’m always interested in the “full story” for truth is what I seek I offer this example: 10 people might stand on top of the Grand Canyon & in looking down & around ... see totally different things (some may see beauty ... and look no further. Some may seek the mystery of its creation) Or those same 10 people may listen to a sermon or a TED Talk and what they hear or take away ... or apply will be VERY different … unique to each person Which reminds me of the "parable of the soils" ... as I mentioned in the “matter of the heart” “It is possible that we can experience each of these heart conditions depending on the season & what is happening in our life” The point being: the heart-attitude/heart condition of a person the Is one of the greatest determiners of how we see and live (whether a person of faith or not a person of faith) I ask the same question I ask Lada: “darkness is part of being human” … so how do we change the darkness of humanity?

Fay Vietmeier

منذ 4 سنوات #76

Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee Such good insights that you make my dear Professor “Light has many meanings” … I truly thank you for illuminating my mind on the subject of “light” … for stretching my understanding I like what you say here … in reference to Mandelbrot's "strange attractor" "Even though the heart is dark, it is on its edge that we see the fractal and beautiful colors. What happens some people see the dark heart and other people see the bright edge. Others see BOTH. Sometimes changing the angle of view might drag our attention to one more than the other... circumstances may shift our views." And This means seeing both the heart and the edge and this is a healthy way to see things from different angles…To the contrary, this is a far better way to see an issue from all its sides and yet we may still overlook the integrated pictures when the sum of the parts fails to give the full story” … I agree with your thinking … Again adding this thought: … if one person is thinking in a physical realm … the focus is usually on what is visible-often externals … and another is thinking in a spiritual realm … focused is on what is unseen- often internals This IS like speaking 2 different languages and invariably they may “clash” … but they don’t have to. If “understanding” is the objective … it may be a foregone conclusion that the “2 different languages” may never agree Thus … it is important to endeavor understand the “integrated pictures” … even “when the sum of the parts fails to give the full story” (part 1)

Fay Vietmeier

Lada 🏡 Prkic (part 2) I am who I am ... a woman of faith ... filled with curiosity to know Truth and live FULLY this earthly life (in the physical & in the spiritual) Guilty but with an explanation ;~) change & spiritual growth is a process: this is a journey that hinges on belief & cooperation with a God & Spirit that is unseen. I have become a woman of faith not overnight but over decades. (faith is what you cannot see … faith is what is yet to be) All I can offer is that when I quote Scripture: I believe it to be Truth … bearing peace, wisdom & discernment … the Word is written on my heart … has changed my life and is an overflow of my heart … I am not ashamed I am glad that our different views on life did not stop you from responding … for I was looking forward to what you might say. I’m glad we could agree on this point: “darkness is part of being human” So how do we change the darkness of humanity? I would love to know your thoughts Lada

Lada 🏡 Prkic As I read your comment Lada I did SMILE at your stating “because of my curious nature that questions everything. :) THIS we have in common … in the “glimpse of me” I use those exact words “curious nature” (mine has served me well ;~) I hope you will receive this quote from Albert Einstein as confirmation of a good quality (no context needed here) “The important thing is to not stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing." I am in complete agreement & practice what you said: “I need to read the cited words in context to be sure they have been used adequately” It has been my practice over decades of studying the Bible to read not just a verse or line but to understand the CONTEXT for truth & understanding is what I seek (this usually takes me to many other chapters or sources of reference … I am an earnest student ;~) … that said I will be mindful to NOT quote Scriptures should our paths continue to cross on beBee … which from my heart I hope they do ;~) (part 1)

I thank you Lisa Vanderburg for stopping by and commenting. My answer to the discussion exchange between you, Lada 🏡 Prkic is that I find spiritualism is elevating even though I am not that spiritual. I learnt to avoid using quotes from holy books and especially those in which science is stated for fear that scientific findings may temporarily negate the holy book. Human behavior is such a complex issue and referring t the Scripture may help because we talk about an intangible force to make it tangible by examples. It may serve in this respect and I find people who believe intensively in spiritual understandings are the most who have peace in heart. For this reason, I wish I could be one of them sometimes. I emphasize that my avoidance of using the holy books as reference stems from my fear that at one point of time science and the holy books might be in contradiction.

I know I'm late, but I Just have to say that the comments are wonderful! I think your statement Lada 🏡 Prkic here is courageous and, for the most part, righteous! As a bible-quoter myself at times, I tend to 'trust' others that quote ONLY if I know them enough through their writings. That may allow me to communicate with them using verse or passages from the bible. The whole bible-quoting thing is (at least for me) simply because it's our oldest and most thoughtful reference to the 'human condition.' I agree with you that scripture should not be taken as not a mark of one's true self on these types of platforms. It is not a weapon and shouldn't be used as such. Its historical relevance lies in helping to make a point. I don't know whether Harvey, Fay or Ali would agree with me, but that's the way I see it!

#75 #76 Dear Fay, before I have responded to your comments, I was thinking of whether or not to engage in discussion with you, given our different views on life and different languages. :) In a physical realm, there's no dark inside humans because our body emits light. Humans glow, and virtually all living creatures emit week light. What you are referring to, as far as I understand, is a spiritual darkness. I would just say that darkness is part of being human. Also, I noticed that you cite the Bible in almost all your comments. I admire how you’re passionate about your beliefs, and I understand that you quote the Scriptures with noble and good-hearted desires. But I'm just not a fan of using the Bible quotes to support one's viewpoint. I see a lot of times in online comments that people use passages in the Bible to support any moral position they want, even contradictory one. As with other citations, I don’t take quotes for it because I need to read the cited words in context to be sure they have been used adequately. The source of the citations is not my favourite read, although interesting from a historical and mythological perspective. It's because of my curious nature that questions everything. :) I love and respect people for their heart, and as I said in one of my comments on this topic - neither you nor I can prove that we are right. :)

I don't know if my examples are relevant, but I shall share them. When we here words alone like weak (week), (their and there), Patient and what meaning we give them as stand alone words may differ between people depending on their current mood. When we say a week ago I know it is not weak. It is by association they we may differentiate. I believe the same extends to expressions like (light-bringer). Light has many meanings, but surely I meant illumination in your case my dear Fay Vietmeier. If I am the "light-source" then this is what I meant and truly you glow my friend.

As you are aware dear Fay Vietmeier I am fully aware of your linked posts. What you say here is consistent with my previous comment. I see the scientific analogy and then and quite often you stretch the perspective to the spiritual side. This means seeing both the heart and the edge and this is a healthy way to see things from different angles. I am way behind you in relating my thoughts into the spiritual perception and this way you make me aware of things that I don't know or forgot about. There is nothing wrong with that. To the contrary, this is a far better way to see an issue from all its sides and yet we may still overlook the integrated pictures when the sum of the parts fail to give the full story (the blind and elephant story).

Dear Fay Vietmeier I do appreciate your engagement in these discussions. I just want to say a quick reminder. Just by inspecting the dark heart of Mandelbrot's strange attractor shown in the body of this post we get our lesson. Lada 🏡 Prkic Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee On this I agree: “not all light is safe, metaphorically speaking. :) Ali had, with bee-affection, called me a “Light-bringer” Ref from: Luciferin (from the Latin lucifer, "light-bringer") is a generic term for the light-emitting compound found in organisms that generate bioluminescence. Luciferins typically undergo an enzyme-catalysed oxidation and the resulting excited state intermediate emits light upon decaying to its ground state. My comment to Ali was: The thought that springs to mind when I hear “Lucifer” is the devil or Satan In Scripture it is written: “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11) So discernment is required: what is the light-source? Crucial to know. Coming from a spiritual perspective … and driving home your good admonition

Lada 🏡 Prkic Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee I have experienced this “speaking in 2 different languages” MANY times in conversations with Ali. He will say something that many be founded in science or the physical … I apply it spiritually and we find ourselves in those 2 different worlds ;~) But this is NOT a bad thing. The seeing in different ways (one physical & one spiritual) has produced MANY creative IDEAS & much “good fruit” 2 perfect examples were: https://www.bebee.com/producer/@ali-anani/the-fractal-hidden-force “We don’t see the wind, but we see the wind’s effects on moving the trees and blowing flowers and seeds. We see the force by its actions. Likewise; I believe there is an overlooked force- this is what I call the hidden fractal force.” ~Ali Anani As I stated to Ali: “These words, when spiritually applied, are profound” prompting me to write: “The Fractal State of Humanity ~ The hidden forces for you & against you https://www.bebee.com/producer/@fay-vietmeier-pennsylvania/the-fractal-state-of-humanity-the-hidden-forces-at-work-for-you-against-you And the more recent posts by Ali: “Hardening Hearts” & “Germination of Ideas” which prompted me to write: “The Heart of the matter IS the matter of the Heart” https://www.bebee.com/producer/@fay-vietmeier-pennsylvania/the-heart-of-the-matter-is-the-matter-of-the-heart

Lada 🏡 Prkic The thought occurs to me as I write is about how differently we might perceive if/when … one person is thinking in a physical realm … and another is thinking in a spiritual realm … This is almost like speaking 2 different languages and invariably they may “clash” You say Lada “There's no darkness in humans at all” I could not DISAGREE more. It may because we are speaking 2 different languages ;~) In this fallen world … there is much “darkness” in people Human beings think … act … and live in “dark ways” This is visibly & physically demonstrated in “dark & evil” human behaviors Why does evil behavior exist? Because there is darkness & evil in the human heart I want to share what (to me) is “plain description” … yet one of the most illuminating passages in Scripture: “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” ~ John 3:19-21 Now many are familiar with this message in John 3 but few with “the verdict” that followed 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son”

Ali, I have written my comment in a rush and perhaps didn't explain in the best way what I intended to say. But I comment on posts that stir my emotions, such as your post. :) It reminds me of the Latin root for the word emotion, which means “to move.” Indeed, emotions move us to act. DearLada 🏡 Prkic- My good friend- I appreciate your comment and elaboration and re-sharing of the post. I disagree with one point. You wrote "But because the intensity of the light is 1,000 times lower than the sensitivity of our naked eyes, we can't see it", This is because I can see the light of your comment as it shines brilliantly. You are right to say that all humans shine, because there is no darkness without light. However; even though we may not be able to see the light we see the light in the actions we do as I see the light in your comment. Surprisingly, one of my best metaphors that got me invited to at least five international conferences is based on cement metaphor. A second metaphor that I applied in civil engineering is coating asphalt aggregate with chemically bound rubber extracted from waste tyres. The aggregate with its organic coating mixed well with the organic asphalt. I used this as a metaphor later to suggest solutions for political issues to make them homogeneous as with the rubberized aggregate. Your comment reminds me of the book that your husband co-authored on the deep Croatian sees and the glowing pictures he presented in the book. We never know how memories suddenly spring in our minds.

Dear Ali, I have read your great post three times before decided to comment. What got me to comment is: "[...] we need to create our own light as marine species do to lighten the dark paths of others. This is genuine social-caring.". I am not a big fan of metaphors, but this metaphor of light resonates with me. As always with your posts, the discussion went in different directions and as often, my engineering logic "clashes" with some thoughts and comments on your posts. :) I have no time to elaborate, but I would like to say one thing - all humans emit light. We can say that people glow actually with own form of bioluminescence. But because the intensity of the light is 1,000 times lower than the sensitivity of our naked eyes, we can't see it. There's no darkness in humans at all and defining light, per se, is a bit of a philosophical dilemma. And just one thing to add, not all light is safe, metaphorically speaking. :)

Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee Harvey Lloyd (part 1) Harvey~ what a great example you show from Acts 8 … great insight: “The people not having the understanding knew instinctively that Philip was there for their well-being where Simon was intent on advancing himself.” To reveal intent: Discernment is required. This is of the heart & spirit … this transpires Spirit to spirit: Now Simon was a sorcerer who “practiced magic … he boasted that he was someone great … all the people high & low gave him attention … they followed him because he had amazed them for a time with his magic. But THEN they believed Philip as he preached the Good News of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ … they were baptized. Simon himself believed & was baptized. And He followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs & miracles he saw.” continued...

Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee Harvey Lloyd (Part 2) The Apostles sent Peter & John to this new group of believers in Samaria … “they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit … because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them (THIS is significant: The Spirit must awaken our spirit … this is to be “born of the Spirit … to be born again”) Intention is revealed: Then Peter & John placed their hands on them & they received the Holy Spirit. (we are NOT told if Simon the sorcerer received the gift of the Holy Spirit) but he wanted this ability & he money to gain it … to which Peter said: May your money perish with you because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.” Simon needed to change his heart … the intentions of his heart This example drives home that “belief … even when accompanied with baptism, does not assure transformation. The heart has to be right with God Added thought: As I write it occurs to me that the gift of the “good deposit of the Holy Spirit guaranteeing what is to come is exactly like an “Implantation of Hope”

Great story dear Harvey Lloyd and the essence I get from it is that while we serve others we also serve ourselves. Do good for others and they shall return the "debt" for you with willingness. For our acts to last long then they should have the intent to serve others and this is the way to advance.

Acts 8 introduces two people, Philip and Simon Magus. Each are performing various awe inspiring actions. The people have been enamored with Simon for sometime. Philip shows up performing in the same manner but somehow they begin to follow him leaving Simon. We tend to look at this story from the perspective of the two men who are alluring the people. But what of the peoples perspective. Why did they abandon Simon and begin to follow Philip? The Key is in the lower chapter where Simon is described in his "intent". The people not having the understanding knew instinctively that Philip was there for their well being where Simon was intent on advancing himself. The moral to the story is that we can show attention to things that bring awe to our thoughts, but eventually we will have to measure the intent. The awe may be engaging (Light) but is it sustainable light or the entrance to personal darkness?

WOW! What you add here is important to the discussions. Emitting light for a purpose- evil one or a good one. Emitting light and the quality of produced light are equally important. Is it temporary and soon shall fade or is it to stay for considerable time and guide us to where we want- Great thoughts for consideration in my next posts.

Yea my brain is deep into your topic just a few doors down from what i found in reading the post a second time. The basics of emitting light is to illuminate something. This gets to that philosophical thought of if the sun exists does it emit light if no one is their to experience it? Intent or purpose of light is the secondary feature of the original draw for people to follow. I am reminded of all the 60's era communes and other follow me lights that turned out to be cults with dark purposes. It appeared as light in the beginning, but then degraded into darkness. If i am to pay "attention" to light then i must also understand the intent of the light. If the light is self-aggrandizing then it is a very short wave length light, the original flash of light is followed by darkness. If the light is practicing win-win then the wave lengths are long enough for me to see, and to operate within.

My apologies as conformation bias is alive and well in me this morning. Recent events have my mind considering the light we emit to others and my responses have been inside of this framework. Unfortunately i now see that your thoughts were entangled in my bias. But to answer the question of "repelling", repelling in the metaphor is consider as being in a totally blacked out room and someone strikes a match. The light is familiar and gives hope of more light. At arrival to the light it may show itself as more fearsome than the darkness. Now hope is constrained by the known darkness that was shattered by light, but was also constrained by the realization that the light was the cause of the darkness in the first place. These are the fundamental thoughts as we consider the light we emit. Depending on purpose we can emit a light that represents darkness to others. You always challenge my abilities to express complex thoughts.

I could expand your line into a book "The light in its own making tends to unify folks around each other, darkness repels. The holding power of the light, purpose, is the key to sustainability". I don't want to send the discussions into several directions, but I can't resist thinking about light unifies and darkness repels. To repel is to scatter randomly and yet we freeze with fear meaning staying where we are and not moving. How can the two ideas be compromised? Fear scatters light and so it shall not have the focusing effect of warming up and exciting the body upon which it falls. Yet; this is opposed by being frozen by fear. I need to pause and think. Yes, I fully agree with you that the light coming from purpose unifies the direction that people follow. It has the power of a magnet to do so. That is why we should always ask about the purpose of what we do. I am doing a study on partnership and judging from previous experiences many partnerships fell because of lack of clear purpose for the partners to follow and they ended in the chaos of darkness. I love the idea that we may produce the light of purpose or make use of the emitted bulb of purpose that others suggest and we agree with. Great thinker you are Harvey Lloyd

I would suggest that nature offers the creatures who emit light an equal advantage within their biosphere. Humans on the other hand have the choice to emit light or not. Separating us only slightly from the beast, but clearly separated. I have met folks, as i am sure you have, that "light up" a room. We each have also met folks who could take a three day cruise to some exotic place and turn the event into a dungeon. Clearly stating that as humans we can choose the light or the dark. The light in its own making tends to unify folks around each other, darkness repels. The holding power of the light, purpose, is the key to sustainability. We either create the purpose within ourselves or we follow what we believe to be the giver of the light. This is our personal choice. But what we choose also has consequences. If i choose the purpose myself then i must weed out everything that doesn't work in purpose and provide stability and sustainability. If i choose the giver of light then the purpose is always defined and in my life is sustaining, and sustainable in worldly journeys. Each choice includes the same list of needs and wants. One takes the needs and wants and makes them a priority. Where the other creates absolutes around humanity and then provides for needs and wants within that envelope. The goals of humans are not mutually exclusive within choice. Who we are as a human is.

As soon as I posted my previous comment I started searching for: Are there molecules that emit light in our brains? I have just found this reference: Are There Optical Communication Channels in Our Brains ... https://www.technologyreview.com › are-there-optical-communication-cha... Sep 6, 2017 - So-called biophotons seem to be produced naturally in the brain and elsewhere by the decay of certain electronically excited molecular species. Mammalian brains produce biophotons with wavelength of between 200 and 1,300 nanometers—in other words, from near infrared to ultraviolet.

You challenge me as always with your deep thinking as reflected in your comments dear Harvey Lloyd. If we would consider the sun as the main light source then why some people get 'lightened" and others don't? I am thinking of light and why some molecules and species shine and glow in light and the majority don't. Like mushrooms only a handful of their varieties glow and thousands don't. We may step back and ask what makes them glow? The answer is that they have the molecules that get excited and unstable when exposed to oxygen. When these molecules relax they emit the gained energy as light and heat. So, either we have these molecules to get excited and emit light. Or, they keep a symbiotic relationship that the host welcomes the glowing guest. Light is order and darkness is disorder and entropy favors disorder. Do we humans have such molecules-equivalent? This is the question that I am thinking of. No human glows, but our minds may glow with a creative idea. This is possibly explains why we represent creativity with a glowing light bulb. Are their molecules that emit lights in our brains? You make me realize how little I know.9-

If we are to consider the darkening of our society within the current context, would it not also state that we are moving from light to dark? The darkness is ever present as we see, experience and challenge the results within our lives. But what is the light? Can we look at history or nature to help us understand the criteria of light? One key point i believe all can agree, darkness destroys while light propels life forward. If we can state this simple statement as an axiom then we can also posit that light is unifying while darkness is dividing. Then we can also state that light is unifying in its existence and experience. But light lacks a critical direction at this point of the thought, purpose. Can light provide purpose or is it strictly a methodology of existence where purpose is within the user of the light? In order to fully gain purpose the big question is................... Where does light come from? Your presentation of chaos has opened up the door to more chaos as we consider the many questions that have plagued mankind since the beginning.

You made my day with your superb comment.

Ali Anani

@Charlotte Wittenkamp wrote a great comment on the re-shared copy of this post on LI> Enjoy the depth of this comment. Random acts of kindness have a way of spreading. When bridge tolls were paid in cash across the San Francisco Bay, one driver paying for the next car as well started a chain of over 30 cars behind him crossing the bridge with a smile on their faces - they all passed on the kindness to the car behind. Pay if forward (or in the above case backwards) works better for all - as long as there are consequences for those who just take and keep all for themselves. They make not only themselves but everybody they exploit smaller and the world darker.

Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee thank you Ali for sharing Lisa's really beautiful thought here. It's almost like poetry ... hold out faith, hope and love like a candle in the dark ... or you can choose to snuff it out within yourself ... share it with others ... freely do ... If they take too much I can always make more ... If they don’t want it I walk away ... faith and hope may be thinner then a human hair at times but do not let it go (this is a rich encouragement) This bee is "working on it" (that's what my slow computer says) Don't give up on me ;~)

For you dear Fay Vietmeier and all dear readers I copy and paste the comment that @Lisa Morganweck wrote on LinkedIn. It is simply beautiful. we are all energy & connected. Even the tiniest shred of hope & healing we must cling to as individuals. This will shine through to others thus effecting the larger whole. Sure - there will be some that succumb to the darkness and completely loose their way (and themselves) but such is free will and some may know negative circumstances that we cannot even imagine. You can choose to hold out faith, hope and love like a candle in the dark or you can choose to snuff it out within yourself. However, I refuse to allow anyone or anything else to snuff out my light for me. If I can share it with others I freely do. If they take too much I can always make more! If they don’t want it I walk away. Take heart dear travel companions in this shared experience called life. While it certainly is not pretty ...be strong and do not allow the darkness to consume you - because it most assuredly will : if you let it. You may need to go to great lengths but if you are committed you will succeed and not be overcome by the darkness that threatens each and everyone one of us every day. Your faith and hope may be thinner then a human hair at times but do not let it go!

As I read this is the thought that came "To create our own light" ... we must be in the Light My compass for writing is "in His Light" (which is from this beautiful Psalm 36) "How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. it is not what we have to face as an emotional charge, it is what corresponds to us as thinking human beings to advance for what we are "INTELLIGENT HUMAN BEINGS". Dear Oswaldo Enrique Diaz Delgado we will tell stories to our dearest ones, they in turn can imitate (emulate) some features in their own lives. The "SOCIAL" darkness grows and apparently decreases in some countries to give us new surprises that may be called the NEW ERA OF DARKNESS. Surely open new sources of light to face the existing reality in every corner of the planet. I hope we find new resources of light that are environmentally-friendly and safe to spread their lights as researchers found with self-glowing tree leaves.

+ Proma 🐝 Nautiyal- you don't cease to amaze me with the high quality of your comments. Not only you comprehend fully what you read, but also you add wealth of thoughts. One thought that is worthy of highlighting is your writing "The world is slowly moving towards an "every man for himself" approach".This is what I tried to highlight in this post. The paradox is that social media and social capital are expected to be engaging;yet we tend to be living for ourselves. The sun doesn't shine for itself; it shines for others. The moon and the stars turn the sky bright with their lights and in the process each star benefits. The fireflies synchronize their illumination in such a way that each butterfly benefits.- We need to shine with hope and help others find their way, You expressed beautifully this idea in your writing "We need to nourish ourselves with thoughts of compassion and doing things just because it will make a positive impact on someone else's life". I also thank you for highlighting the deserving comment of our friend Tausif Mundrawala

Proma Nautiyal

Beautiful post, Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee. In today's date, people are more focused on gathering and hoarding resources for themselves. It often seems like they don't want to understand the concept of abundance. The world is slowly moving towards an "every man for himself" approach. We need to understand that by giving we are not losing out. Every transaction always balances out. Sometimes with cash, sometimes with kind, and sometimes with care, blessings and positive vibes. The only way to become a person who is not insecure is by following what Tausif Mundrawala very rightly said, "I think they should initiate with the intention of nothing to lose but everything to gain." Zero expectations is an incredibly difficult place to reach, but reaching halfway through is good enough, to begin with. We need to nourish ourselves with thoughts of compassion and doing things just because it will make a positive impact on someone else's life. The moment this happens, the moment we feel secure is the moment we start glowing from within. In the entire process, we lighten up our dark hearts and that of the people we impacted, as well.
