The Paradox of Fractal Repetition

The Paradox of Fractal Repetition

The Paradox of Fractal Repetition

You hear a song and you enjoy it- till you have enough of it. You listen to a charming music and it moves you- till you get saturated with it and you say to yourself enough is enough. You hear a joke which makes your sides split from laughing and with a different affect you here the same joke as it keeps your sides together.

This is the paradox of fractals. A fractal is a never-ending pattern. Fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are self-similar across different scales. Fractals are repeating patterns; yet the more we zoom in them, the more we get attracted to their beauty. Just by watching the video embed below you shall discover for yourself what I mean.

Bees produce fractal hives and have fractal patterns. Where do they suck their nectar? Fractal flowers attracting fractal bees. Bees go to fractal flowers. I dare say fractals attract fractals. Beauty attracts beauty permanently. The fractal bees are very loyal to the flower they visit and they keep revisiting. Bees keep doing repeated visits without feeling monotonous. Is this a hidden power of fractals?

The Paradox of Fractal Repetition

Fractal flowers and fractal snow- two beauties attract each other and our eyes too. The power of beauty is in operation again.

The Paradox of Fractal Repetition

The power of fractals follows the power law. The more we look into a fractal, the more shall we fall in its love till this love turns into a love fractal. It is the same a mother looks at her baby and the more she does, the more she loves the baby till this love grows into a fractal love. It is amazing how simple and repeating actions of love develop into a beautiful fractal with no limits. Like fractal trees extending their arms to other trees to form an umbrella of love mothers do. They extend their arms of love to their babies and shade them with fractal love.

The Paradox of Fractal Repetition

We may do the same. We may create fractals of repeated questions following Fibonacci rule to end up with a beautiful fractal of questioning. The paradox of repeating same question thus disappears. We need the power of fractals in asking so that we may explore endlessly. No wonder nature is packed with fractals. Nature shall respond to us if we meet its fractal beauty by asking questions that have a fractal structure. The fractal of asking why repeatedly is shown below:

A final recommendation- Branch your character, your habits in a fractal form to attract and embrace same quality habits and characters. Remember that fractal habits embrace only fractal habits. Beauty attracts beauty.

I have wonderful feelings following reading your fractal-like comment dear CityVP Manjit. Space is increased by removing the language barrier and new fractals are emerging accordingly. Yes, ideas are allowed more space to react and for new ones to emerge.

What I have learned from when this post first appeared last month is that I am beginning to see even more power of the universality in fractal relationships than even I had considered possible. While BeBee wants to succeed in the United States, I am beginning to identify with like-minded people who were once separated by language. Yet the fractal relationship when we connect with each other beyond the language barrier reveals even greater self-similiarity - and in that I am discovering universality. Yes Milos Djukic saw those who tamper with fractal relationships will reap what they sow, but as a learner, I feel the fractal in my heart becoming even more intelligent. This is a wonderful, wonderful feeling.

The butterfly of words is an amazing domain Tausif Mundrawala. Changing words or their sequence might send us in different paths. I shall consider first showing this by example and then shall look seriously into your suggestion. Fractals are discoveries and I am glad you got interested

CityVP Manjit, Profound statment, you are a careful thinker. "The power of the present moment is massively underrated. Ultimately, time is only an illusion (particles of light already knows everything), but somehow everything rather than nothing is possible if we start to understand the secrets of a personal time management. Time stands still and then we will come back to fractal. Fractals are forever." - from "You Are a Social Leader? The Butterfly Effect", LI long-form post

Milos is aware of the folly of humankind. Those that pursue folly in religion want us to remain the past, those who pursue folly in science want us to be their future - but to be present and fully here that is the gift we are given and in that gift we can learn the lessons of history and also find that future in our present moment - the one we are guardians of. As Milos has underscored, the gifts we find within us - which is all the latent potential and blessings that we have barely touched, expressed and more importantly can mindfully weave, into patterns that flow with renaissance, a beauty within that shapes and contributes quality of life.

Fractals are beauty and beauty doesn't mix with fear. I love what you wrote Milos Djukic "Those who are playing with fractals, sooner or later will meet with chaos, but this time without the omnipresent fear".

"This means that fractals are not a propagation of an idea but the appreciation of emergence." - great comment CityVP Manjit. Once again, a passion for truth-seeking continues, It is a gradual process. Those who are playing with fractals, sooner or later will meet with chaos, but this time without the omnipresent fear.

In keeping with my habit to extract two gem ideas from any comment you write CityVP Manjit, here are my two gems: The value of fractal repetition is to get beyond the novelty of it and to remain in a constant state of wonder - because this constancy is the only way of us to acknowledge the endlessness of the universe This means that fractals are not a propagation of an idea but the appreciation of emergence Mind-boggling gems they are. Depth in meaning and imagination- yes they are. With this quality of comments do you need my comment? Self-evaluating gems that reach beyond the clouds. Simply wondefurl comment

I envisaged reading this on Thursday so if I am a day early it does not at the expense of attention to this buzz, it simply means that I am far more ahead of where I wan to be with my "Divergent Hives". I am much of the persuasion of Milos Djukic who also recognizes that through the medium of complex adaptive systems there is a way of seeing that is not afforded through traditional means and that this way of seeing brings us closer rather than further from nature. The greatest revelation for me of fractal repetition is the first time I watched a video about the Mandelbrot Set https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEw8xpb1aRA and when we view something of fascination it begins with it being a novelty. The value of fractal repetition is to get beyond the novelty of it and to remain in a constant state of wonder - because this constancy is the only way of us to acknowledge the endlessness of the universe. With novelty we are still children at play, the zooming in of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEw8xpb1aRA may fascinate the child-like part of our nature, but its value is not as a toy but as a realization of the infinite. Once we have a tangible and visual representation of the infinite - we are now operating from a constancy of wonder. We can either gain from this wonder and our imagination transforms accordingly or we make of this wonder a thing of worship - and that brings us back to the world of idolatry where the idolizing of religions creates evil and the idolizing of science creates murder. This means that fractals are not a propagation of an idea but the appreciation of emergence. Once we surrender the novelty and let the novelty seekers leave to find something to occupy their constant boredom, we can focus on constant wonder.

"Within the process of fractals the repetition is part of a dynamic process that produces novelty, there is no monotony and no point of saturation" .From my perspective, the beauty of the paradox is as beautiful as a fractal itself; the art of differentiating similarities The above quotes from your splendid comment Sara Jacobovici are so illuminating and powerful. If this buzz gets only this comment it is sufficient for me. I am thinking of building on this buzz AND your comment to write our first e-book as you suggested before. The topic is enriching.

If I may Ali Anani, I would like to start my comment by attempting to answer the following question, "Bees keep doing repeated visits without feeling monotonous. Is this a hidden power of fractals?" Yes, this is the hidden power of fractals because, as you so eloquently demonstrate, there is a difference between repetition - the act of repeating, or doing, saying, or writing something again; a reproduction, copy, or replica; saturation - the state or process that occurs when no more of something can be absorbed, combined with, or added; and fractals - a never-ending pattern, infinitely complex patterns that are self-similar across different scales, created by repeating a simple process over and over in an ongoing feedback loop. Monotony can set in after something has been repeated a number of times. Repetition is necessary when we are trying to master something but then saturation takes place and we seek something new. Within the process of fractals the repetition is part of a dynamic process that produces novelty, there is no monotony and no point of saturation. Children go through the fractal developmental stage of "why". They ask why all the time, repeatedly, as they move from one new experience to another. If all the adult hears is the repetition of the word, they experience monotony but if they move through the fractal process they sustain interest. From my perspective, the beauty of the paradox is as beautiful as a fractal itself; the art of differentiating similarities. Looks like the only way this is achieved is through a structured or organized movement; something we seem to be "pulled into".

I am not fed up so easily as it used to be. I supposed I'm turning a little fractal with the years or maybe it's just a matter of survival when you live with a lovely five years old girl who can repeat a question or a wish, in a fractal way, till she gets her purpose or watch a movie for (no joke) 80 times and still laugh with it... 😉 Repetition give us confidence, unless till we die of a "Fractal Attraction"...
