Dreaminess ~

What’s a girl to do when she starts to feel the pull of the Universe again- from that deep, yet luminous place within…. 2 years ago, almost to the week, I wrote a story for Sailing Anarchy {when I happened to be on my first ocean coastal sail, from Long Island to Bar Harbor Maine}.., and faraway in Europe, an alluring Austrian just happened to be, by chance, perusing the site to capture the days latest stories.. That day I received a sailor’s greeting introducing himself, with a quote from C.P. Cavafy, “As you set out for Ithaca, hope your road is a long one full of adventure, full of discovery”.

The dreaminess continues~ coming to Europe was the best decision .. compared to the life I used to habitat & orbit within, coming for the 1st time to Europe was another leap I am just astounded by each passing moment.. Flying to meet Egmont in Munich for the 1st time in person, after 2 years of corresponding in words, digitally & in letters, has been the trip of a lifetime.. sailing now in the Med with my Beloved~ I cannot believe this life is something I can call my own~ oceanic simplicity, perfected minimalism, rustic luxury.. It’s incredible what the metaphysical world formulates when the heart’s longings coupled with the mind’s imaginings meld.. I cannot say it enough - this thing called the Human Experience is something to be explored, further & further.. It’s not what you think… It’s a forever deepening into detail, an exquisite falling into this dream…. No more am I leading a life of wishing, hoping & creating vision boards in my bedroom :) ~ but am now living fully in my dreams, in my waking life. .. A full 360 view everywhere I look, at each passing moment, the benevolence of the world is delivering all of my deepest & most intimate desires right to my doorstep….

Bernard Moitessier, The Long Way, "I can only give them my first log, with birds, sea, daily sights and little everyday problems. My real log is written in the sea and sky; it can’t be photographed and given to others. It has gradually come to life out of all that has surrounded us for months: the sounds of water on the hull, the sounds of wind gliding on the sails, the silences full of secret things between my boat and me, like the times I spent as a child listening to the forest talk." ~

Making our way West slowly~sailing to Gibraltar, Casablanca & The Canaries to cross the Atlantic in November... I can't even begin to explain all the events that have transpired to bring me to this point....

Stay tuned for more bubbling up from the Ether.
