Google Failed the 2016 Election User Experience

I would venture to say if you have a mobile phone or you're on the web, you've seen a variation of the following:

Google Failed the 2016 Election User Experience

Did Google not consider the possibilities that someone might have voted early? I don't know about you, but I wanted to get this election process over as quickly as possible!

Oh wait, they did consider the early voter on mobile devices like this:

But even here they have missed the boat.  What if I have already voted?  Why not take advantage of the opportunity to...

1) Collect data on early voting?

2) Improve the user experience for people that have already voted an option to opt out of further messages about voting?

This could just be me trying to hide from this crazy election, but there are always to improve the way we interact with and use technology.

What are your thoughts?  First world problems or a learning experience for Google?
