My Favorite Plant Based Pros
When it comes to spreading the good word about plant based lifestyles no one does it better for me than these peeps. They've been a constant in my food journey for a good while now and provide not only practical healthy eating tips but also inspiration to living a more balanced life. Hope you enjoy!
If I could Weird Science (dating myself here) a perfect man I'd create someone with the essence of the likes of this guy. Rich Roll. Yes, that's his real name. A former collegiate swimmer and attorney who struggled with drug and alcohol addiction before turning his life around after a wake-up call at the age of 40. Focusing on his new priority, physical and mental transformation, he created a world of abundance for himself through his journey as an ultra-endurance athlete and plant based diet.
I have been following his podcast since its start in 2012, after stumbling across his book Finding Ultra, and haven't missed an episode since. This is THE podcast to listen to if you want to be inspired to "unlock and unleash your best, most authentic self." An engaging interviewer, never preachy always open-minded, Rich's vulnerable, honest and inclusive approach makes his podcast accessible to everyone regardless of their diet or lifestyle. He has well over 200 episodes, all worth listening to but if you need a recommendation I suggest starting with some of these:

If ever a rainbow were to be reincarnated in human form it would come back to earth as Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram. A local Houstonian -and half latin/middle eastern!- like myself, this girl started what is now the largest raw, organic produce co-operative in the U.S, right out of her living room at the mere age of 20. This year she celebrated 11 years as a fully raw vegan and launched her first book The Fully Raw Diet. Don't let the word "raw" scare you away though, you'll quickly find you don't have to follow a particular diet to enjoy her "tips, tricks, and recipes" on eating healthy. She is on all the social networks but I think she is best followed by video, check out the queen of (raw food) creativity on Youtube…y Kristina también hace videos en espanol.
Mindblown - the day my pros collided, Rich Roll (mentioned above) interviewing Kristina, check it out @ RRP 156 - How eating raw repaired my health and gave my life purpose
For all you cooks out there Angela Liddon is your girl. A plant based blogger for the past 8 years, her recipes are all her own, full of creativity, accompanied by tantalizing photography and loved by both meat eaters and veggie lovers alike. Great news for people with special dietary needs - most of her recipes are gluten-free and allergy friendly. She's also written an Oh She Glows Cookbook and now has an app to make life in the kitchen even easier. I'm a no fuss kinda cook and find her recipes to be quick and easy and of course as good as they look. My all time favorite is her Almond "Tuna" Salad! *make sure to add some chopped dried apricots to this recipe* To.Die.For. Her most popular recipes can be found here.
