ARSTISTS' TRIBUTE!

ARSTISTS' TRIBUTE!

Oh! Ruler

Though it is evident you are a killer

Yet I cannot ignore your stature

You patronized me to flourish with flair

Because of you my art works being exhibited with grandeur

Gracious people acknowledged me with their precious rendezvous to adore

They consider my endeavor as connoisseur's choice

They alone uphold their voice with huge noise

I must doff off to you

My fame, name and accolades are largely your blessings

I must pay tribute to your grand offerings!

To be honest, I love to retain a status quo

Where you and me both being complemented by the circumstantial hue

Lest we both will be buried by the myriad's vengeance

A new design will emerge from the fetus of long suppressed annoyance

We need to restrict such upheaval

After all we only can soothe as we can retain and sustain our grand carnival!

But your Highness

I beg to differ from your megalomania and malevolence

You are consistently deceiving majority

From whom you extract your royal juice to promote huge gravity and hegemony

I would religiously support them

Even if they dare to cause mayhem

Your crafted devise if heist to majority

Centuries long an anomaly eclipsing such brazen dichotomy

If you punish and incarcerate me My Lord

I won't keep silence to align with your pernicious accord

I will raise my voice in loud

To encourage and dispel fear from crowd

Compelling you to abdicate your throne

To install majority's reign with a mellifluous tune

Only to prove artists are honest

They are capable to translate nature's endowed assets

Sheer inequality is the only reason of all retribution and unrest

And an urgent need of this hour to reset

Eliminating such vices from nature's floor

Humanity only can uphold its voices in galore!

"But your Highness I beg to differ from your megalomania and malevolence You are consistently deceiving majority" I read this as speaking about the "prince of this world & the god of this age" who is indeed "deceiving the majority" "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." ~ 2 Corinthians 4

Debasish Majumder This is a very poignant poem Debasish my interpretation may not align ... with your intended design ? I read thru several times and my take ... especially from these lines "But your Highness I beg to differ from your megalomania and malevolence You are consistently deceiving majority" I read this as speaking about the "prince of this world & the god of this age" who is indeed "deceiving the majority" "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." 2 Corinthians 4 I see this speaking about Christ ... "Centuries long an anomaly eclipsing such brazen dichotomy If you punish and incarcerate me My Lord I won't keep silence to align with your pernicious accord I will raise my voice in loud"

Interesting. Majorities are fickle and changeable though...

A multifaceted, multicoloured, multilayered poem, coupled with the evocative picture. That turned a dull evening into bright one.
