THE INVADER - by Devesh Bhatt

The Invader of my mind,

Slipped through my senses.

Beyond the sights and sounds,

And tasteful pretenses.


Between these hearing ears,

Behind these watchful eyes.

There stood a beautiful Trojan,

Plotting a sly surprise.


The Invader of my mind,

Was invited as intended.

The beauty had some fallacies,

For the doubts that I invented.


There was this doubt of victory,

Another that I am secure.

The heart and head defended,

With each other at the core.


The Invader of my mind,

Fuelled 聽my precious lies.

It asked for dedication,

With a defender's sacrifice.


Now contradictions were evident,

And so was correlation.

One attracted logic,

The other imagination.


The Invader of my mind,

With one blow had me split.

The tussle revealed denial,

Of skeletons in my closet.


Soon the invasion was over,

I allowed it to end.

The old were given closure,

With new thoughts to attend.

true, within the limited levels of awareness , things look different. In the long run things pan out, consequent to our limited scope and yet beyond it.
