TO GIVE A THOUGHT- by Devesh Bhatt

Why give a thought to taking?

To take one has to give.

To take without 聽giving ,

Seemed quite primitive.


I gave a thought to giving,聽

So I gave this world a thought.

It said it wanted action,聽

And this how I fell short.


I tried and I complied,

With morality as my guide.

聽While this ocean of human misery,聽

consumed me in one tide.


I gave a thought to living,聽

So I gave my life a thought.

It said it needed purpose,聽

And this is how I fell short.


I made a sphere of relevance,

Where goodness could reside.

But ignorance, couldn't recompense,

With awareness inside.


I gave a thought to learning,

So I gave myself a thought.

The thought said this, bridge each miss,

Enact a better thought.


So I gave a thought to giving

聽And 聽humanity's great divide,

The hopeless can progress for sure,

If spheres of good unite.
