WORDS ONCE TOLD -by Devesh Bhatt

Some words once told,

Have now grown old.

They don't wish,

To live on aid.


In the name of love,

Or a cause of hate,

Or biases that sink,

Unweighed.


Refusing false work,

Or to Aimlessly lurk.

Trying to shed,

Each strange disguise.


They yearn to see,

Their true face,

And define,

What it implies.


These words once told,

Have now grown old,

Of needs to carry,

A Bluff.


Endorsing whims,

That stand to fall.

When they've had,

More than enough.


They want to recede,

Into memories,

To be certain,

They live with ease.


And when the time comes,

To forgive and forget,

They are sure,

They can rest in peace.

Some words disappear, some morph into different ones and some stay strong no matter what, strange beasts those words no matter the language :-)
