We are right in the middle of a tremendous global transformation that has already greatly influenced the foundation of conventional medicine. We no longer divide the body and mind into independent entities.. We are beginning to understand the knowledge supplied by Mind/Body Medicine. Mind-body medicine uses the power of thoughts and emotions to influence physical health. As Hippocrates once wrote, "The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well."

True healing is about reestablishing the intimate connection that exists between a healthy body and a healthy mind. Disease disappears by the act of generating healthy, life-supporting effects in our body and mind. The bottom line is that good health remains an unrealistic dream when the focus is on disease.

The most important experience that the unbalanced body/mind needs for healing is the experience of happiness which results when a person begins to take his health in his own hands and removes the negativity that exists in the mind. Happiness and health are attractive to us; disease is not.
