THE ALTAR OF INCENSE
A VOLUNTARY OFFERING
"Make an altar of acacia wood for burning incense. It is to be square, a cubit long and a cubit wide, and two cubits high--its horns of one piece with it. Overlay the top and all the sides and the horns with pure gold, and make a gold moulding around it. Make two gold rings for the altar below the moulding--two on opposite sides--to hold the poles to carry it. Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. Put the altar in front of the curtain that is before the ark of the Testimony--before the atonement cover that is over the Testimony--where I will meet with you.
Aaron must burn fragrant incense on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps. He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight so that incense will burn regularly before the Lord for the generations to come. Do not offer on this altar any other incense or any burnt offering or grain offering, and do not pour a drink offering on it. Once a year Aaron shall make atonement on its horns. This annual atonement must be made with the blood of the atoning sin offering for the generations to come. It is most holy to the Lord."

"This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.'
The fulfillment of the altar of incense today is prayer, praise and intercession, and we must exalt the Lord; because we cannot covenant unless we worship.
"Worship the Lord in the splendour of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.
"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that confess His Name."
The peace offering in Lev 3, 7:11-34 could be offered by means of an Ox, sheep or goat and was a voluntary offering.
The portions of the offering were divided as follows: -
God: fat and blood Lev: 9, 13-17
Priest officiating: shoulder
Priest & their families: breast
Giver: all the rest of the offering
OFFERING PRAISE IS A BLESSING TO GOD, OTHERS AND OURSELVES.
Leaven: was also included - humanity and carnality.
[Pentecost was the only feast with leaven in it]
"Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in front of the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands. Now he made a bronze platform, five cubits long, five cubits wide and three cubits high, and three cubits high, and placed it in the centre of the court. He stood on the platform and then knelt down before the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven. He said: "O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on the earth-you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way. You have kept your promise to your servant David my father; with your mouth you have promised and with your hand you have fulfilled it- as it is today."
2 Chronicles 7:12-15.
"Now Lord, God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the promises you made him when you said, `You shall never fail to have a man sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your sons are careful in all they do to walk before me according to my law as you have done. And now, O Lord, God of Israel, let your word that you promised your servant David come true."
2 Chronicles 7:16-18
Only accepted if:
1. The vow performed and offering complete within two days.
2. Unblemished [Lev 3:1] cost involved, genuine and sincere.
3. Giver clean, rejected if person unclean: personal sin: contact with uncleanness.
Persecution for the Words sake; handled in a godly manner, causes holiness, which causes us to worship our God.
"Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to his name; bring an offering and come into his courts. Worship the Lord in the splendour of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth."
We need to send Him an incense of praise, sweet, pure, holy, perpetual, fragrant. We need to adore Him because you cannot covenant unless you worship and enter into the Holy of Holies.
