Obviously, then we are told by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, through Paul that the same pattern is wanted for us: -

God has given gifts to men - the five-fold ministry to express that idea perfectly.

For the sake of clarity, let’s look at some definitions, which can be tested by checking in the Scriptures.

Meets effectiveness needs

The seal of an Apostle is fathered sons [bringing the four ministries, and the believers of all descriptions to spiritual maturity]

.....For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

The signs of an Apostle are

[1] Patience

I know a man who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven.

[2] Humility

To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations

[2 Corinthians 12:7]

[3] Signs/wonders/miracles

The Apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people.

[Acts 5:12]

[1] and appoint elders in every town [Titus 1:5]

[2] Can also be an elder

To the elders among you I appeal as a fellow elder

[1 Peter 5:1]

[3] Teaches Apostles doctrine

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching

[Acts 2:42]

[4] Takes captive false doctrine that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies

[1 Timothy 1:3]

[5] Rebukes/corrects the rebellious

This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so they will be sound in the faith.....

[6] Is gentle with the flock

We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ
