Glory can be described as being in the presence of God or in direct fellowship with God.


ARK OF THE COVENANT

In the Holy of Holies


KNOW YE NOT THAT YE ARE THE TEMPLE

OF THE LIVING GOD.

2 Corinthians 6:16 [KJV]


Christians are “the temple of the Living God.”


TEMPLE [Hebrew word = BAYITH]

Bayith translates as:

To build a house, to rebuild, to establish a house[hold], to establish a family, to continue, to establish in.


Temple – means church, holy place, place of worship, sanctuary, and shrine.


The word temple is used in the scriptures to describe the following physical building, for instance,

...`Now Eli the priest was sitting on a chair by the doorpost of the Lord's temple.'

1 Samuel 1:9b.


Christ's human body was also described as a temple - `Jesus answered them,

"Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days."....But the temple he had spoken of was his body.

John 2:19,21.


Likewise it can be shown that we ourselves – Christian’s bodies - enjoy the privilege of serving as a temple [house, household of the living God]

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.

1 Corinthians 3:16,17.


Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;...

1 Corinthians 6:16.


Consequently, you are no longer foreign
