PRAYER MEETING

PRAYER MEETING

Jesus said:

But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice:

for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Matthew 9:13 [1898 Young’s Literal translation]

Having experienced mercy it will be our joy to do the spiritual sacrifices.

FEAST OF PENTECOST MEETING

"And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."

Hebrews 13:16.

This meeting manifests the life of the Body of Christ.

In a PRAYER meeting we need people to be the mouthpiece of the Holy Spirit: -

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

Romans 8:26 27. [New international Version]

When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptised into the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 8:15. [New international Version]

But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.

Jude 20. [New international Version]

`Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the Lord Almighty.

Zechariah 4:6. [New international Version]

After they prayed, the place where they meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

Acts 4:31. [New international Version]

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit ...

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14:17, 15:13. [New international Version]
