* FEAST OF PENTECOST.......Prayer meeting [Book 3]

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Acts 2:1-3.

You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on the tablets of human hearts.

2 Corinthians 3:3.

Feast of weeks - Shavouth... 7 weeks + 1 day = 50

"`From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks. Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the Lord.

Leviticus 23:15,16.

* Harvest

"`When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and the alien.'"

Leviticus 23:22.

The 3rd month of the year of historical Israel's calendar was when the Feast of Pentecost took place. In terms of our modern calendar that would be the 4th June [for the first day] and the 5th June [for the second day], depending whether the year is a leap year or not.

In Israel at the time in the farming calendar during the 4th to 6th month there was nothing, a dryness, barrenness etc.

As the body of Christ we are not separated from the suffering of Christ. As we separate ourselves from the world we will also experience the following scripture, which will feel like a time in the wilderness.

For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.

But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

Luke 17:24, 25.
