This is a scale that we put together to not only score the quality of lead types, but to also demonstrate the progression of actions necessary to elevate their score.

A+

Happy, existing client who wants to continue to buy more. Can be upsold easily. This was brought about by total satisfaction in the quality of the brand and its excellent service.

A

In funnel lead who is in communication; indicating a purchase some time quite soon.

A-

A referral who has expressed some level of genuine interest and has made an appointment. These are difficult to scale. This would also be an internet lead who is in communication and has made an appointment. These are easier to scale than referrals with the proper use of advertising and PR.

B+

A referral who has expressed interest, but has not yet committed to an appointment. These too are difficult to scale. This would also be an internet lead who is in communication but has not yet set an appointment. These are easier to scale than referrals with the proper use of advertising and PR.

B

In funnel lead who has given complete and honest contact information (online, in person at a trade show, called in, etc.). Yet to be contacted. These can be scaled with advertising and PR.

B-

Someone who has visited your website, but hasn’t engaged with the brand yet. Can be remarketed with Facebook, Instagram, Google Display Ads, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

C+

Someone who is “In Market” right now and is completely unaware of your brand. They have not been reached by your ads or content as of yet.

C-

Someone who will be "In Market” very soon (days, weeks, or a few months). Will begin search online at some point. They may find your content or be contacted through your proper use of advertising and PR.

D

Someone who will be considering your type of product/service in the coming years. May or may not find you then.

F

Someone who will never buy from you or anyone else. Attempting to market or advertise to them is a complete waste of time, personnel, and finance.
