Why YouTube Should Become The World's Largest Community College

YouTube should become the world's largest community college, packaging and offering it's content into a free 2-year degree program.

With over 4 Billion videos watched every day on YouTube, it has become the to-go video platform for everything. Be it how to debug an issue with your technology or to getting the latest updates in a wide range of fields, YouTube has it all! 

This mammoth of a video sharing site has grown to encompass the entire web through videos. If you ever needed to learn something new and outside of your domain, don’t fret it out, YouTube has probably got you covered.

They have the content, the clout, and the money to make it happen.

YouTube is rich in enough content to create courses and degree programs for basic subjects such as:

  • Business Administration
  • Marketing & Advertising 
  • Public Relations & Media 
  • Web Development
  • Computer Programming 
  • Hospital Administration
  • Hospitality & Restaurant Management
  • History
  • Foreign Language Study
  • Interior Design
  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Administrative Assistant
  • Art Studies
  • Cinematography 
  • Photography
  • Writing
  • Music
  • Real Estate
  • Insurance
All of these subjects and more have ample content, already uploaded, within YouTube. Many experts, authors, and even college professors have their content on YouTube.

What Needs to Happen


1. YouTube needs to grab a hold of this idea at the very top. This is an amazing humanitarian objective to help the planet become educated. What a way to uplift those with economic challenges to get a formal education.

2. Get accredited to offer a 2 year program for a Associates Degree.

3. Package existing content into courses and programs leading to a 2 year degree.

4. Establish a division with YouTube to run this as a business, just like any other junior college.
