Start your online marketing campaign in just a few steps
We live in a world where almost everybody is connected to the internet. We want to know everything and we receive the news in real time. We use the internet for both business and pleasure. But even when we use it for business, we tend to search the for things that are not work related.
So why not use the internet for marketing?
Did you know that 70% of the people research online and then buy the products offline in nearby stores or local offices?
This is why it is imperative to have an online marketing campaign. To start it you just have to answer yourself 2 questions:
“What is my objective?” and “How can I make it happen?”
After setting up your goal divide it into small steps that are easier to accomplish. Think of your objective as a mile. Each mile has approximative 2000 steps. If you look at the big picture you may be discourage to start the journey, but if you only look at the first few steps you will not feel that way anymore.
Figure out where are your customers more likely to find you and start from there. Calculate your needed budget.
At the beginning, you will not be able to appear at the top of the organic search. Use Ad-words instead. Don’t be afraid of the costs. You will only pay if the Google users will click on your site. If they do that means you are now able to convert them from visitors to clients.
You now have visitors. Don’t ad something that you don’t offer only to gain traffic. It will only make users frustrated. Make sure that your landing page is good enough to seal the deal. Nobody stays on a website if they don’t like what they find on the landing page and you only have a few seconds to convince your visitor to engage.
Think of what do you want people to do on your website. Do you want them to buy something or just to subscribe to your newsletter? Either way, include a call-to-action and let them know. It is in our human nature to do as we are told, so take advantage of that.
Use Google Webmaster tools to monitor your website. Learn about what part of your site are the users most interested in and what parts they ignore.
Review sites can also help you very much. People tend to believe more in what former customers have to say about you than what you are advertising your business. List yourself everywhere you can find potential clients, but don’t waste time and money on platforms that aren’t going to help you.
Everybody loves a good deal, so use coupon sites. Share your discounts and offers on your social media pages, blogs and emails.
These are the first steps you have to take for a good online marketing campaign. Success is just behind the corner, so don’t be afraid to grab it!
