Becoming your best you … and how the Light helps you grow

Becoming your best you … and how the Light helps you grow

ca1db3de.png

To blossom: to mature or develop in a promising way … to come into one’s own … to evolve … to become evident (clearly seen or understood)

To grow personally - professionally - spiritually. In my experience, spiritual growth was a catalyst for personal growth. Internal growth is a catalyst for all the roles in your life: marriage - parenting - career

“Only you are you." So be your best you. "Blossom"

As human beings, our job in life is to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us really is, that each of us has something that no one else has - or ever will have - something inside that is unique to all time. It's our job to encourage each other to discover that uniqueness and to provide ways of developing its expression."

In that process of discovery: "All of us, at some time or other, need help.” ~ Mr. Rogers

I was responding earlier to this buzz:

The “blossoming” process:

Every person can benefit from working with a Life Coach or A good psychologist (therapist) at some point in life. There are seasons in life that present goals, challenges & situations … sometimes even crisis. Turning to a counseling professional for help, support & understanding can be most beneficial.

Outcomes depend on both the coach/counselor and the person seeking counsel.

Willingness & desire to grow is a key as is working with a "good" right coach-counselor.

A Life Coach can be seen as a a psychologist (therapist.) In like, a psychologist (therapist)can be seen as a Life Coach.

Team work is required.

There are many variables & complexities in the process of personal - professional - spiritual growth.

For the person seeking counsel: what is their starting point? Their level of understanding, personal beliefs & values, life experience, education and life perspective. Their commitment to do the work?

Earlier buzz about psychology coaching:

https://www.bebRee.com/producer/@tanya-heasley/coaching-psychology-and-positive-psychology-coaching

The work of personal/professional/spiritual growth is a sowing & reaping process. Much depends on the person:

Have they purposed in their heart to do the work? There can be time goals and time-outs. Realistic timelines for the “work” being accomplished. Some progress can be made in a matter of “weeks or months” but in truth personal growth and spiritual growth is a life journey

Best outcomes are achieved when the person is fully engaged & committed to the process (whole-hearted)

This truth: “No one can do your push-ups for you” ~GS

People are complex and the process of personal growth is unique to each person.

We are spirit beings with a soul in a body. "This treasure in a jar of clay"

It is written in Psalm 139 that "we are fearfully & wonderfully made” (I think on such things)

There is a fractal nature to humanity. We are born into a sin-filled world. Each person is “broken.” The question is where are we broken & to what degree?

The Fractal State of Humanity"

“Ring the bells that still can ring

Forget your perfect offering

There’s a crack in everything

That how the light gets in” ~ (some attribute this to Leonard Cohen others to Earnest Hemingway)

…Growth requires Light…

“For with you Lord is the fountain of life; in Your Light we see light.” ~ Psalm 36:9

Blossoming is optimized by being “in the Light” and understanding with the heart.

We are given this encouragement & admonishment: "Above all else guard your heart, for it is the well-spring of life." Everything you do comes from your heart. ~ Proverbs 4

This personal testimony: I had an eating disorder for about 20 years. “Years that the locust ate” My healing came through faith in God, heart-transformation through cooperation with the Holy Spirit and understanding gained through wisdom (which came through counseling & study of God’s Word over many, many years … an ongoing process)

I can testify that “pain is the only instrument sharp enough to cause change” and that heart-work is hard work. It requires: willingness, openness, commitment and cooperation.

I have learned to seek the Highest Counselor. The Lord is available 24/7 … no appointments required and His Counsel and wisdom is free to everyone who seeks Him.

“Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant and her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who embrace her.” ~ Proverbs 3:13-18

I have learned to cooperate: The Holy Spirit can only do for me what I allow him to do in me"

“In His Light” ~ Fay

Hinds' Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard:

Much-Afraid looked at the thorn and shrank from it. Then she looked at the Shepherd’s face and repeated his words to herself. ’When the seed of Love in your heart is ready to bloom, you will be loved in return,’ and a strange new courage entered her. She suddenly stepped forward, bared her heart, and said, ‘Please plant the seed here in my heart.

The key is to be a good student. This helps with the “blossoming process” - well-said, dear Fay. I invite my two good friends Harvey Lloyd to enjoy your buzz.

AliAnani, Brand Ambassador @beBee Dear Ali~ my warm thanks ... I appreciate your comments … and would add that you distinguish yourself by not only thoughtfully writing but also thoughtfully commenting … “Mind-stirring” is what the world needs more of ;~) Indeed, the journey of life is a learning journey…filled with challenge & complexity that is unique to each person. The key is to be a good student. This helps with the “blossoming process” … I believe being a good student helps improve outcomes. It is proven that being a “lifetime learner” is a component of success & happiness. That life journey is filled with challenging & complex people who we get to “rub shoulders with” or be in relationship (“interrelationship”) with. This is as Scripture says: “iron sharpening iron” … Additionally “with the measure you use it will be measured to you” (there is much wasted capacity in humanity) … my goal is to be used up at the end ;~)

Fay Vietmeier- this is a mind-stirring buzz. One idea that caught my attention is your writing "The “blossoming” process" And then you proceed to write later "… but in truth personal growth and/or healing is a life journey". Again, you wrote later "People are complex and the process of personal growth is unique to each person". I truly believe complexity is a journey of learning and I agree with what you wrote profoundly. The only issue I have is in the word process. You remind me of what Peter Senge suggests: … most of us have been conditioned throughout our lives to focus on things and to see the world in static images. This [in turn] leads to linear explanations of “systemic phenomenon”. Understanding the perpetual flux in systems should lead us to see “interrelationships, not things, and processes, not snapshots” For him, complexity isn't a process; more it is interrelationships. You see you triggered my mind again and I am still pondering on your wonderful writing.
