Why environmental education matters?

Why environmental education matters?Oceans contain the most important natural environments on the globe.

Life originates from the sea. In fact, we all depend on the sea. It hosts the principal source of oxygen on the planet, and it is itself the biggest reserve of natural resources in the world.

Oceans are our last hope of survival as species, and we don't even know that.

Now, due to excessive pollution, the climate change, overfishing, an uncontrolled industrial coastal development, and to the anthropogenic degradation, oceans are in danger.

Nowadays, I dedicate a part of my time to the coordination of the Sharks Educational Institute (SEI). It is an international Non-governmental Organisation dedicated to the education for the marine conservation. Its principal focus of work is the development of the issues related to the marine environmental education of the younger and their active participation in the conservation of the sharks' species in their natural habitats.

If you wish to know more, and if you are interested on marine environmental study and conservation, you can also participate by helping me to promote more educational events, sharks' expeditions, and to spread a greater awareness for sharks importance on our oceans.

Learn more about sharks importance on the ocean balance. And share what you learn! There are different ways to participate: you can volunteer; you can join our Sharks Educational Institute Team Members; or you can make a donation.

Support and share Sharks Educational Institute initiatives!
