Happy Fall and Happy To Get Up

Happy Fall and Happy To Get Up

Dear Bees,

I took a little tumble last night, trying to shake off a centipede that was on my foot, and the creepy crawly also stung me. We were outside on our back porch and the unwelcome guest must have come inside with us.

I’m a big scaredy-cat when comes to anything that resembles a worm or a snake and when I saw it on my foot, I panicked and fell.

I had a slight reaction to the sting but worst of all, I fell on my left hand. It’s swollen, achy and hindering.

So, I am operating using only my right hand, which slows me down, but I can still buzz.

If something weird is going to take place, I seem to be a likely victim.

This is my story and I’m sticking to it

Anyone else that has a weird tale pertaining to themselves, please feel free to share.

#1 Thank you for the advice @Chas Wyatt and the fun video. I've had my share of whoopsies, perhaps why my mom sent me to modeling school. 🙃 I found Apple Cider Vinegar does a good job of getting rid of stinging too. You be careful as well!

@Franci Eugenia Hoffman, Bee careful- advice I need to heed myself. Glad you are okay. Last week I sprained my ankle by tripping on a pallet and my ankle was swollen for a week. Then, last weekend I slipped off the bottom rung of a ladder and snapped my big toe on the other foot and it left a big nasty bruise. Centipedes are about six inches long in Hawaii and when I lived there I ran across them all the time although I was never stung. Once I put my hand on one as I was climbing up a rock and it felt very much like those creepy rubbery things kids buy. Another time I felt one crawling into my hair trying to get in my sleeping bag on the beach- I jumped up and shook it off- I had a hard time sleeping the rest of the night. You may not like the antidote, but, urine makes the sting go away.
