CHALLENGING MARINE INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS TO DEFEAT THE EziBuoy MAGNETIC MOORING BUOY PICK-UP SYSTEM...

November 5, 2017, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show ― EziBouy Pty. Ltd of Perth, Australia introduced its innovative magnetic mooring buoy pickup system to the North American market during FLIBS 2017.

Seen here are Martin and Kristin Snyder of Regency Yachts and Peter Whiting of Seattle Yachts, representatives for Nimbus Boats, trying their hands at taking the EziBuoy Challenge.

The Challenge was dreamt up by marine industry consultant, Phil Friedman of the Port Royal Group, Fort Lauderdale, and involved participants attempting to cause the magnetic couple to fail to complete when the flexible boathook end was brought within operating range, irrespective of direction or angle of approach. Said Friedman smiling,

"I promised to buy them all lunch if they could defeat the remarkable EziBuoy pickup system. But as we fully expected, not one person could cause the magnetic couple to miss connecting. Nevertheless, I did buy all participants a beer anyway for being such good sports."

According to ExiBuoy inventor and company director, Phil Golding, the innovative EziBuoy magnetic mooring pick-up system is a boon for anyone whose yacht rides to a swing mooring. With it, missed pickups and repeated failed approaches become no more than vague memories.

With the EziBuoy system, you can approach the mooring from any direction and simply sweep the special flexible EziBuoy boathook end-fixture across the top of the hook-up leader-line buoy and ... whack! You're solidly connected.

Once connected, lift the small leader-line buoy on deck, use the leader line to pull up the main mooring line, and cleat the mooring line. Done. No fighting to thread a boat hook end into a loop on the leader buoy, no embarrassing missed approaches, and most importantly, no frustration with or yelling at "butter-fingered" crew.

Added EziBuoy partner and director, Amanda (Mandy) Golding,

"With the EziBuoy retrieval system, even the most inexperienced members of your crew can pick up your mooring safely and easily."

Friedman wrapped up the EziBuoy Challenge activities by thanking all who participated and by pointing out that EziBuoy is currently in full production and presently setting up local resellers across North America.

Thank you, Lada \ud83c\udfe1 Prkic, for the good wishes. Yes, the "Challenge" was a really fun way to prove the point -- especially as I then got to buy everyone who participated a beer for being such a good sport. The campaign to introduce the EziBuoy system to the North American market has thus far been pretty successful. https://www.bebee.com/producer/@friedman-phil/content-copywriting-and-seo-a-quick-case-study

Phil, I like how you challenged participants by attempting to cause the magnetic couple to miss connecting. :-) I wish it was invented ten years ago when my husband had a boat. Good luck with the sale!

Thank you, Susan, for the kind words and the share. I bet up where you live you can see some yachts laying to swing moorings. Cheers!

Thank you, Gert Scholtz, for the kind words and gesture. But the EziBuoy is the invention of Phil Golding of Perth, Australia and is manufactured by EziBuoy Pty Ltd, headed up by Phil and his wife Amanda Golding. I am sure, however, that there are some SA yachtsmen who keep their boats on a swinging mooring and who would find great benefit from the product. So if you run into any, please be sure to put them onto it. Cheers and thanks!

Phil Friedman Phil, this is so compelling I am buying myself an Ezibuoy - even thought I don't own a boat and live 500 miles from the sea! Great article - all the best with your invention and marketing.
