Do we live as One, Whole and in Truth......

Do we live as One, Whole and in Truth......

d1e87880.jpg

I was recently asked by Lisa Vanderburg to write a continuation on mindfulness and this subject came to mind, and I decided to publish this blog ahead of my October 16th schedule ‘Do we live a life of One, Whole and in Truth?’

There is only one person to research depth on the subject and I found a quote from the great Albert Einstein that states ‘A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'Universe,' a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation, and a foundation for inner security’

Like everything in life, it is entirely possible to be happy with just one person for your whole life, my belief is that this is based on two factors; 1. How much your motivations and purpose is for that person? 2. Is it a union of one, whole and are you being truthful to that person and yourself?

As humans, we are conscious of our own sensations, thoughts and feelings. We each have the sense of being a self-contained individual. What makes each of us unique? Our name? Our genes? Our environment? Or the person we have become as we inwardly determine every moment of our lives?

All people whatever their race, education and background are united because there is an infinite creative force for all that is humane in the world. This is the underlying divinity of love which integrates together all who receive this inspiration.

Do we live in truth?

We live in a post-truth world. The problem is in the technological world of information and importantly the way we humans communicate via online and collaboration tools and apps, do we communicate the truth?

It takes courage to be the person you really are. There really is no magic pill or solution to make this happen, especially in a world that constantly sends you messages about who you should be. All of this talk takes you away from being true to yourself. It leads you to live the life you think others want you to have.

This way of living takes you away from authenticity and truth. You ignore your desires and retort to what’s not even a best second on what you truly want to do or the person you really want to be.

Thinking you can fulfil your obligations first, then pursue your dreams, is an illusion. It may seem to be the best option sometimes, but this way of viewing the world diminishes your value and power over the long run.

A scary source of factual information now reveals one in seven adults in a long-term relationship, is with someone who isn't the love of their life

· 73% 'make do' with partner as 'true love' slipped through fingers

· A quarter of adults have been in love with two people at same time

· 17% have met love of life since getting together with long-term partner

· Men more loyal to partners

· 60% believe it takes 10 weeks to know if someone is right for them

The results showed it can be hard to find "the one" and although the general perception is that women tend to fall in love more often than men, it was intriguing to see that in reality both men and women fall in love on average two times in their life.

What is alarming is that so many people claim to be in long term relationships or even married to someone who isn't the true love of their life.

And if there are people out there who are genuinely in love with two people at the same time, they must face a huge dilemma.

Are you ready to live a life of truth and self-acceptance? Live your truth right here, right now. What does this mean exactly?

It means to live your most truthful self. Inside you are a person waiting to jump out and live in truth and openness. Most of us spend our days living up to expectations and definitions. In this way you, me, all of us are living to be someone different than who we truly are. This is a lie. It is time to live your truth and own it.

Mindfulness is one way of focusing on your inner self, what are my dreams?, fears? what will it take for me to have unconditional love?, what are my real needs for longstanding fulfilment?. It is about taking time out to pay attention to the present moment, without judgement.

In a world where the amount of stress one heaps on oneself can be seen as a badge of honour, we need to recognise the ways of reducing the potential negative impact of exhaustion and mindfulness is a great place to start. It allows us to take a step back and refresh our perspective on the world, to decide on a better response to the challenges we face, and to really focus. Neuroscientists have proven that no matter how good we are, our brains are simply not capable of operating effectively on more than one complex task at a time.

The fact that we are all intrinsically connected is not some fluffy principle someone made up, it is something which you can experience right now in your daily life. But the way we usually live our lives in this heavily technological environment our awareness and individual senses are hovering right below the signs so to speak. So, we rarely, if ever, see it.

Once you begin practicing mindfulness you can begin to see the natural rhythm of life and how we all depend on so many different things just to come to be as we are in the present and to continue on living each day.

And this is not limited to people either. This includes all other living and non-living things- on land, in the ocean, and in the sky. This can be seen in very concrete ways- in the way we depend on the coral reefs or on the delivery of our local food and water supply for instance- but also in a much deeper way. In a very real way, we exist in the clouds, in the rain, and in the mountains. And they are within us.

This single realisation can change the way we live our entire life’s. From the way you treat others, to what you devote your time to, to the products you consume, and the causes you support.

Finally, having understanding and interests, we can join together in a common purpose. This idea is similar to the way different components of the human body fit together to form a whole healthy body. Each part depends on the others as long as they are not diseased, for the whole to function properly.

The million-dollar question is do we want to be One, Whole and live in Truth……

A great quote by Menachem Begin 'Peace is the beauty of life. It is sunshine. It is the smile of a child, the love of a mother, the joy of a father, the togetherness of a family. It is the advancement of man, the victory of a just cause, the triumph of truth.'

"All of this talk takes you away from being true to yourself. It leads you to live the life you think others want you to have" "Finally, having understanding and interests, we can join together in a common purpose". The above quotes from your buzz Geoff Hudson-Searle wrote in her great buzz today "This side up fragile" https://www.bebee.com/producer/@sara-jacobovici/which-way-is-up and my comment in which we said "The paradox of self sense needing the sense of the community to achieve mine? We need to belong to a purpose. Great buzz that is worthy of sharing

I would state that our physical form is that of a car. A car carries the human, the body carries our soul.

Yes Harvey Lloyd the humility of the short journey is the profound one, and even if we are clever with our words, we all end up in the same condition, food for maggots or dusty ash. I was fascinated to learn that in cremation the fire subjected to the dead body makes it curl up into a fetal position. Cremation is the practice of our tribe, but now I would like to break with that practice, at least through burial we are food for God's tiniest creatures. In the pristine world of loveliness and all things beautiful, maybe the maggots are the most honest creatures among us :-)

Thank you Devesh for your prospective, we have discussed choices' in the thread which depending on our own individual preferences can be a valid point to your comments, To build on 'Peace as the Beauty of Life' is a beautiful cause and reminds me of a quote by Menachem Begin 'Peace is the beauty of life. It is sunshine. It is the smile of a child, the love of a mother, the joy of a father, the togetherness of a family. It is the advancement of man, the victory of a just cause, the triumph of truth. Harvey, loved reading your comments, especially 'response-able' As you know the true meaning of responsibility is response able or ability to respond. Whatever we may think, say, do, or feel – these are our responses for which we, and no one else, are responsible. This is easy to see but hard to live, for we have been taught to believe and think the opposite. So we don’t consciously choose our response, we react instead, and then we blame others for our reaction. No wonder we feel imprisoned by others and our circumstances. The enlightened, on the other hand, have broken the trend, they see the illusion. They take full responsibility for their response abilities and as a consequence, they always hold their own destiny in their own hands, because they have choice. It is my belief that we do have choice, and more importantly when we consider truth and love, in my opinion Truth and Love 'should' be unconditional to be true to oneself and to others. So glad you have enjoyed this tread, it certainly has been thought provoking!

Sometimes the words "delusion" and "prison" manifest themselves as such upon being thought as such. If all is one, how is the resident and the prison separate? We limit ourselves to desires, limit our desires or define inflexible thresholds to our desires.. another form of limitation. Joining together in a common purpose and finding my own uniqueness are often labeled as conflicting by others .. so i aligned myself to the common universal idealistic goals. The conflicts disappeared, but so did the tangible outcomes which allow people to believe that a common purpose is being achieved. Soon doubt sets in with impatience. "Peace is the beauty of life". Maybe what we all seek as the common purpose can actually be presumed as the common ground to build upon. Maybe , a presumption is all it takes for somethings to manifest as such. Really enjoyed this buzz. Thanks

I heard someone say that we are "response-able". This thought provoked an indepth study of the human condition of free will. Do we really have a choice in our responses to other humans, conditions and environment? How you answer that single question changes your perspective within communications. More importantly the answer will determine your responses as we consider truth and love. Truth and love in this context should be unconditional. In most cases though the two are conditional and contingent upon the other person. Conditional truth and love implies that others must meet a criteria before we can produce action. The criteria of acting inside the truth/love envelope is what i enjoy observing. Watching two people sort our criteria before they commit at the higher level is mystifying and entertaining. I have enjoyed this thread and the many comments that have sparked deep thought.

Change is a word that has become synonymous with the life experience. I dont believe we change, but rather evolve. As to saving the world and afternoon tea......We all have a world view of some form of destiny. The complexity comes forward when we discuss your first paragraph. Your nationality, dress and other hygiene visaulizations should not matter within a true discussion of truth and love. Yet it does. But i believe you strike at the very heart of nirvana. This destiny can only be achieved within a shared value set that excludes the visual and promotes the human. To share anything we must first see truth and love from a singularity. In the end this is the cause and effect that each media outlet leverages to increase ratings. Saving the world? This is a tall order and one that i gave up on. My goal is only to interface with others in a way that we can share a short journey and know that they and i have evolved a bit more in understanding. The weight of saving the world is to great for myself and comes with to large a dose of apathy. But my neighbor and i share a journey every now and again of truth and love.

Such a wise and droll man CityVP \ud83d\udc1d Manjit - you brought me laughter and grounding, and I'm grateful!! If you could just levitate, I think you got it covered :) Yes, we continue these exchanges in hope, in vain and possibly vanity too, but it's also important for me to see others who hold humanity in far greater esteem that I do. Knowing my luck, I'll live to be 140 and will not have much more faith than I do now dagnabit! Love the Rocky clip - forgot the commentator was actually a Russian translator, just thought he had a mouthful of gum...duh

Dear Lisa Vanderburg, I bring you truth, love, happiness and peace. Follow me and you will follow the road to nirvana. At this point I have only one thing to ask of you, do you think I will look good in a white turban with a matching white but opulent dress or in a saffron turban with a Gandhi like impoverished look and leaving my legs visibly unshaven? This is why I refrained myself from this conversation because I did not want to ruin everybody's afternoon tea. I don't often read about these subjects and think "man that inspires me", because I am not looking for this inspiration. When I wake up I think "O.M.G..I am still here,, everything is in working order, I still have teeth to brush and some kind of breakfast to look forward to" I have been online since 1998 and I have participated in these kind of conversations about truth and next year it will be 20 years of hearing the same higher order desire for a better world. So consider me a failed guru unless this conversation leads to a transformed world, which it will not. So the answer to this invariably comes back to Rocky IV and that final speech https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRBak_2X3Do so what I am saying here Lisa is "if I can change, and you can change, everybody can change" :-)

To your last question on this comment, I'd have to say no (in my opinion). We are too imperfect to really be capable of sustaining love; as are the people who we would wish to be recipients thereof. That is our nature and, inevitably, our end. That said...keep it up - I'm loving this conversation and I embrace detractors! :)

Wow Harvey Lloyd; that brings many new balls into play! I'm sitting her stunned at the perception of 'truth' and 'love' as equally a verb instead of a their normal confinement to noun. That requires 'time' - that moment of decision; 'This is where we can do the most harm or most good.' You've brought an entirely new thread to the conversation, and I'm thrilled!

Thank you Harvey, I so enjoy receiving your interactions and feedback, your structure and approach is so thought provoking. What happens when another's actions are not in alignment with my own? When words and actions cannot meet it will always make effective communicating at work or advancing a personal relationship challenging, if not impossible. When someone is unable to follow through on what he or she says with behaviors that match, there is a self-awareness issue. But it is not just some people. It is part of the human condition. If our external self has not developed a relationship with our internal self, they will operate independently until we actively begin to familiarise them with one another and integrate. It is then when actions begin to align with words and vice versa. For each individual's personal journey, this is perhaps life’s most profound and confounding challenge. However, when allignment is connected, the sky can be the limit in any situation. Personally, and as you have already quoted 'know the real truth and love definition' is of primal importance for long standing and sustained relationships.

Truth and love are concepts that require defining. The first aspect of these two words is "action", without action the definition of the words can not be realized. The two words can be defined from two perspectives. My actions and the actions of others. This is where we can do the most harm or most good. What happens when another's actions are not in alighnment with my own? Each day we ask and answer this question for ourselves with either a higher definition (Love your neighbor.) or from a definition that we have developed over our narrative. "It is about taking time out to pay attention to the present moment, without judgement." I believe we do pay attention but we use a definition of truth and love that is not shared. Can we love the employee or friend who selfishly manipulates their environment for their own purposes? We can if our definitions are absolutes. Not easy, but allows us to transcend our own experiences and create understanding for others. Leaders today are managing a truth and love definition that gets defined by the media. Until they choose a higher absolute definition of these words we will continue down a path of uncertainty. This is a very compelling post as we look at our way of life and cause and effect. The term "post truth" really implies we have entered an era of "multi-truth". Ours is only the choice of which one to follow. Or.....Or. Know the real truth and love definition and maintain a constant within the face of the multi-truth world that is developing.

Lisa if we look at One...Whole...Truth, this would describe Truth and Love as One; 'Now you will feel no rain for each of you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold for each of you will be warmth to the other. Now there is no more loneliness for each of you will be companion to the other. Now you are two persons but there is only one life before you.'

Thanks Jordan, Love your comments across Truth, I spent time with the Hopi Indian's in Arizona, much of what you describe is the wisdom of what is important in your inner self which enables you to portray outwardly , and the truth one knows within ones heart and soul. Love this quote; 'Teach me how to trust my heart, my mind, my intuition, my inner knowing, the senses of my body, the blessings of my spirit. Teach me to trust these things so that I may enter my sacred space and love beyond my fear, and thus walk in balance with the passing of each glorious sun.'

Thank you so kindly Lisa, I must say after our conversation this week, I was so inspired to write this blog, keep inspiring me! :-) I am so happy that the blog was thought provoking and gave you polar opposites, perfect! Back to your question; My belief is that love is a choice and can conquers all things. If we were one, whole and living in the truth the world could show love, and with just a little more love, we could solve nearly all our problems. No one would have more than the other, because we would all share. No one would despise each other because we would all love each other. No one would insist on his or her own way, because we would all put the other first. No one would war against the other, because we would not want to hurt anyone. In Dr. Robert Holden’s last book, Loveability, he details the root of basically all human problems—the fear of not being loveable. This fear shows up as not being enough (e.g., good enough, educated enough, attractive enough, smart enough, etc.), needing to be perfect, self-sacrificing, outstanding or remarkable, always happy, always melancholic (to get attention), independent, rebellious, a genius, or a peace-maker. Regardless of how anyone’s fear of being unloveable manifests itself, it’s not our Truth but instead comes from ego. And it’s ego’s job to provide protection and cover for that fear. So is love the answer, can love conquer all?

Truth - now that's a hard question to answer honestly, ironically. What IS truth? If I were to continue in the vein of my first comment, I would have to say in long intimate relationships, being truthful is often the harshest condemnation that well kill the choice of love stone dead. I'm applauding your exploration into mindfulness - it is possible for a long-term couple to adapt to 'One, Whole and in Truth' with the same interpretation? Loving the mind-stretch Geoff - wonderful!

Wow Geoff Hudson-Searle! Manners first; thank you for the mention! There is SO VERY MUCH to absorb here, it may take me many reads to realize the depths of this exciting and inquisitive buzz! I find myself at polar-opposites mentally answering some of the questions you pose and I see how contrary that is. So I'll just start with one. '....one in seven adults in a long-term relationship, is with someone who isn't the love of their life.' I suspect that's accurate. That said, outside of that flush of falling-in-love, isn't love really down to choice? I this that's true in long partnered relationships, where judgement can often be served 3 times a day, if that CHOICE is not made. That said, I am decidedly remiss being One, Whole and Truth; that's multi-tasking! I need to ask for some contributors here - Wise Bees befitting of you! I'll be back...,
