Striving for an Ultimate Goal
Recently I have been asked to write a chapter for a new book called 'Journeys to Success' which will be released on June 18th, 2018, I am one of 11 authors discussing true life experiences from adversity to fulfillment, I believe how we succeed is determined at least in part by how we cope with those experiences and importantly what we learn from them.
Journeys to Success Volume 9, in the Journeys to Success series, is a dedication to the late Tom Cunnigham who recently passed away,. Every moment of every day men and women share their personal stories of transforming life-shattering events into triumphant success. The stories inside this book contain powerful seeds for resilience, spiritual awakening and plain determination in the face of powerful events. If you love stories of overcoming life’s challenges, this book is for you. The Journeys to Success series has become an international sensation, international author and businessman Geoff Hudson-Searle has contributed his chapter 'Striving for an Ultimate Goal' The book will be a best seller, the series has sold over 100 million copies in various formats including ebooks, hardback, and paperback, apps and audiobooks.
Society cannot flourish without some sense of shared purpose. The current pursuit of self-realisation will not work. If your sole duty is to achieve the best for yourself, life becomes just too stressful and too lonely, and you will be set up to fail. Instead, you need to feel you exist for something larger, and that very thought takes off some of the pressur
I have created a audio file of the chapter.

Tributes and obituaries do serve to open up a life that we did not know. Just by his name "Tom Too Tall Cunningham" one can see how he focuses on positives and can laugh in the face of adversity. The tributes talked of the physical suffering and a giant of man that makes 4ft 11 a colossus - we are not defined by our physical stature but the size of our heart and presence. One tribute here http://mindcapturegroup.com/thank-you-tom-too-tall-cunningham/ was particularly resonant in that regard. Then there was this https://portal.clubrunner.ca/158/stories/tom-%E2%80%98too-tall%E2%80%99-cunningham which is incredible because this means that Tom Cunningham actually lived 30 minutes car ride from where I am. Then I took a look at where you live Geoff and you come from the city of my birth, where I was born in Hillingdon Hospital in 1961. Furthermore the funeral services for Tom were held in Trinity Church, Streetsville, which is exactly where I live. I have always been amazed that no matter how big the planet is, in terms of human existence, we end up discovering that we live in a small world. I also noted the Journey to Success archives in I-Tunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/journey-to-success/id903045082?mt=2 Finally I am 57 years of age and as I have read various pieces, it is clear that Tom would have been around a similar age to me. Again my deepest convalescences in the passing of Tom Too Tall Cunningham, as your friend, Tom who clearly was an inspiring and courageous human being.

Thank you CityVP \ud83d\udc1d Manjit for your kindness across your comments and those of Tom Cunningham. Firstly, success can be interpretated and is subjected to many meanings and not necessarily just the material world, success can be a successful transformation of ones life, a goal fulfilled or even survival through adversity. I have written two books, my first book 'Freedom after the Sharks' is a true story of hardship through severe challenges to a place of inspiration and truth, one of the reasons I was asked to contribute to this new book. My seciond book 'Meaningful Conversations' focuses on 52 topics and challenges, I provide tips, insights and summaries to areas that have been discussed across strategy, communications and life and business development, all my work has been backed by research from the tope educational institutions and corporations. Tom was simply the most amazing man you could ever wish to meet, he was almost ALWAYS in pain. Tom had Rheumatoid Arthritis since he was 5 years old...50 years, 6 hip replacements, 4 shoulders, knees, joint fusion etc... Over the past 3 years he became worse. It was obvious that he was in pain on many an interview. irrespective of his illnesses he continued his work and had a love for the subject and special people, I was fortunate to have known him. Him wife still has his website live, do visit www.tom2tall.com
