1977 Chevrolet Mighty Mike
By the early 1970s, Japan-built firm trucks had opened a firm foot in the U.S. market. Ford had been marketing a Mazda truck rebadged as the Courier since 1971. In 1972, Chevrolet answered with a model of Isuzu’s truck, labelled the Chevy LUV for Light service Vehicle. Chevy vended about 20,000 of them that first year and sales acted to emergence throughout the decades.
