1979 Ford F-150 Indy Pace Truck
In 1979, Ford fabled Mustang had finally abandoned its adjusted Pinto bodies for the brand-new Fox platform, and with it approached a sharply styled, all-brand-new Mustang. Naturally, Ford was aroused to pace the Indianapolis 500 that year. So the Ford not only supplied an eye-catching Pace Car edition Mustang in silver with orange and black bandings, it had equaling trucks, too.
The trucks used the same blacked-out bumpers, bed bar and front push bar as Ford’s Free Wheeling collection. The collection could be requested on F-100, F-150, F-250, or F-350 pickups
