2017 Hyundai Tucson Night Edition
Auto industry refreshes at Jet Speed and at times follow path of what others do. Sometimes the champion path to get the shinny light of public attention onto an existing version is to go dark. That explains why GMC, Jeep and even Mercedes-Benz models have supplied unique dark-hour or night editions in new years. Such is the industry’s rate of refreshes and news that Hyundai, just two years into the current-generation Tucson, entangled it must join the black vogue, with the 2017 Tucson Night that is on display at the 2016 SEMA show.
The Tucson Night is exactly what it looks like, a Tucson Sport with 19-inch matte-black Ray wheels, a black-tinted wide roof and gloss-black mirrors. Aluminum pedals and a perforated-leather riding wheel identify the indoor. Other nutriments include LED map lights, chromatic lights area cap, and red valve stem caps.
Gray, white, black and the distinct Caribbean Blue colorant illustration here are the only Night compatible colors. Hyundai hasn’t published pricing, but illustration on about a $2000 premium when the Night edition goes on selling later this fall, in both front and all-wheel-drive models.
