It's my pleasure to inform you that beBee has been selected in the top 15 EU scaleups!

beBee will represent the EU in Silicon Valley as the "next EU unicorns"

Startup Europe Comes to Silicon Valley (SEC2SV) is a mission that seeks to connect the dots between EU and Silicon Valley stakeholders of the global entrepreneurial ecosystem.


beBee will represent the EU in Silicon Valley as the "next EU unicorns"


Created and organized by Mind the Bridge , SEC2SV sparked a crucial conversation between EU policymakers (commissioners, prime ministers), top EU Scaleup companies (Startup Europe), corporations from both continents, and Silicon Valley stakeholders.

On Sept 12-16, SEC2SV will seek to strengthen this connection by connecting the dots between these conversations and transatlantic activities from SV to EU and back; including the year long activities that followed for actionable insight into what works and what doesn’t from previous participants and enable cross-continental business activity.

A European Innovation Day followed by a week of meetings provides an opportunity to stimulate networking and business opportunities, as well as improve the understanding in Silicon Valley of the increasingly dynamic European startup ecosystem.

The goal is to create an honest and direct policy and business dialogue between both sides of the Atlantic. This will certainly benefit startups in both continents to be able to scale up beyond their borders and help create economically impactful and long lasting ecosystems where innovation can flourish.

Silicon Valley has the opportunity to tap into a significant EU market and benefit from the new generation of EU startups that can have a disruptive impact on many areas of the economy and society.

What I begun learning on encountering Juani S\u00e1nchez Serrano-S\u00e1nchez especially about the H2020 initiative, now I have even more dots that I get to connect via https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/en/startup-europe Since I am banking on my EU passport not to be at risk with tomorrow's Brexit vote what the EU does remains relevant to me. I also got to learn about Reid Hoffman's initiative in the UK with Sherry Coutu CBE http://startups.co.uk/sherry-coutu-cbe-and-reid-hoffman-launch-scale-up-institute/ This is all a part of the mental furniture of the future but also represents a developing transformation of work because scaleup isn't just a business scaling up, it is your thinking scaling up.
