Bob Marley, an international musical and cultural icon
Starting out in 1963 with the group the Wailers , he forged a distinctive songwriting and vocal style that would later resonate with audiences worldwide.
After the Wailers disbanded in 1974, Marley pursued a solo career upon his relocation to England that culminated in the release of the album Exodus in 1977, which established his worldwide reputation and elevated his status as one of the world's best selling artists of all the time, with sales of more than 75 million records.
The spread of melanoma to his lungs and brain caused his death. His final words to his son Ziggy were "Money can't buy life."

Bob Marley quotes on life
“When one door is closed, don’t you know, another is open.”
“Better to die fighting for freedom than be a prisoner all the days of your life.”
“If you’re white and you’re wrong, then you’re wrong; if you’re black and you’re wrong, you’re wrong. People are people. Black, blue, pink, green – God make no rules about color; only society make rules where my people suffer, and that why we must have redemption and redemption now.”
“Love the life you live, live the life you love.”
“Just because you are happy it does not mean that the day is perfect but that you have looked beyond its imperfections.”
“You just can’t live in that negative way….. make way for the possitive day."
“Your life is worth much more than gold.”
“One good thing about music—when it hits you, you feel no pain.”
Thanks for your legacy Bob. I DO LOVE MUSIC. MUSIC MAKES ME BETTER.
