Give without expecting anything in return

Give without expecting anything in return

Give
This is important to do on any social networking site, not just beBee, but it’s particularly important to do on here. It is human nature for people to be focused on wanting to receive something for themselves or their business.
The best way to give to others would be to make recommendations. I see a lot of people asking for recommendations from people all the time, when they haven’t written any for others first. Preston 🐝 Vander Ven

The more you recommend others without asking for one in return, it will give them a refreshing feeling about you and they’ll want to be helpful in return. Preston 🐝 Vander Ven

If you want someone to comment, share, or like your posts, you need to do this for others first without the expectation of the return. “You Reap What you Sow”. I like the ratio 10/1. For every buzz I post that is mine, I share, comment, or like ten other Bees in the Hive."

Preston 🐝 Vander Ven

Give Without expecting anything in return

Implement this strategy to view the world, and your business, differently.

It goes without saying that you should always be looking for ways to provide others with value. I talk about this a lot, and I advise all companies to create content that brings value to their customer; create a media site, write articles, make videos, gain leverage and new customers through building these relationships. It is the number one way to sell a product right now

Gary Vaynerchuk

CEO of VaynerMedia

Because the truth is, people like people. We're wired for it. And people do business with other people. So when you learn to generally give to those people without expecting them to do something in return, you win. You'll perceive the world differently, and if we're being honest be a better person because of it.

Gary Vaynerchuk

CEO of VaynerMedia

The best way to build a platform is helping people.

The best way to build deeper business relationships is helping others.

beBee is helping you. That is the reason why I personally try to engage with all of our active bees.

I’ve heard a lot of people recently ask me how to build a platform — how to attract an audience and keep them coming back. I’m sure there is more than one way to do it, but the very best that I’ve found is simply this: help people. Jeff Goins

It takes you outside your comfort zone.

I know your probably thinking it’s easier to take care of yourself then worry about others. To be a leader in today’s social society you must be authentic, you must be engaging and you must be selfless. Yes you must be selfless, help others without expecting anything in return. Simply help people, be human, engage one another and be real. We -as humans- are designed to want to communicate with one another need proof just take a look around watch a couple use sign language, laugh, have fun.

Bring personal and professional passions together to disrupt

Sir Richard Branson embraces his personal brand and incorporates it into everything he does. He is a leader brand, and perhaps what is most amazing about Branson and his multitude of Virgin projects is that they all share the same sense of personality, playfulness and good humour that we can see in his personal brand. Branson is an expert at bringing his personal and professional passions together to create positive disruptions

Business is about relationships

The integration of your personal and business brands can lead to new opportunities. We all can agree that business is about relationships.

I am very active on the platform and regularly engage with our user base. Many of them have told me over and over how much they love seeing a top executive from the company drop by their posts to comment and engage with them on a personal level. This is the only way to build trust. I am open 24*7. We can agree. We can disagree. But beBee is also making a difference because of my presence.

"The greatest motivator for CEOs to get on social media may be simple necessity. Social media represents a cultural shift, not just a technological one, and it's already made the leap into the workplace. In the end, it's very difficult for a CEO to guide this transformation without 'getting' social media on some level--ideally a personal one." Ryan Holmes, Hootsuite CEO

@Javier 🐝 CR

I tried to share this message of encouragement -

When sharing in beBee - can't add a message? With the share?

“Giving without expecting anything in return is one of the most organic and fruitful actions we as humans can do for one another.” - Preston Vander Ven

..“do for one another” .. did catch my eye

Reminded me of another concept known as the “Golden rule” .. an ethic of reciprocity

“So, in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you”

If you want someone to comment, share, or like your posts .. Then DO what you would like to be done for you.

Getting nothing .. is disheartening .. even to the best of bees

.. nothing in the way of comments .. “LIKES” (“relevant”) or shares

Disheartened bees produce no honey

.. if no one seems to care .. or see

.. posts appreciated only by thin air

.. “Hello” is anyone there?

This is brilliantly crafted Javier 🐝 beBee! If I would have seen this, I could have just added my 2 cents here and reposted instead of the buzz I wrote this evening . You wrote: "f you want someone to comment, share, or like your posts, you need to do this for others first without the expectation of the return. “ I fully agree with your statement! Excellent buzz and thank you for sharing a link to this on my buzz! :))

To give without expecting anything in return use to be called generosity. It has nothing to do with the fact that you have a lot to give or not. It has nothing to do with a good feeling felt by the one who gives for this fact. It has to do with the feeling that makes to happen in the person who receives. This implies that when giving, the one who gives has to make sure that what is given will be of some use for the receiver. To give a bicycle to a handicapped would be cruel, not generous. Social media is just an extension of us, a different way to communicate. If we are not generous in "real life", very unlikely we will be it in social media.

Why I am here Javier 🐝 beBee? :) Why we are here? Helping others help themselves, it is less a paradox and is increasingly becoming the golden rule of social media. "Social media is primarily used in order to find like-minded people ("instant" engagement and mutual fruitful impact). That is the most important and represents the backbone for an eventual successful cooperation of any kind or only for the purpose of a pure joy and happiness. This can hardly be measured by any mathematical or statistical parameters. A targeted interaction is a crucial one and also a willingness to understand that we are different. Only then we can help and improve each other." - from "Helping Others Help Themselves, Social Media Paradox", LinkedIn long- form post published on October 8, 2014
thanks Vivian Chapman, Yes ! "The best way to build deeper business relationships is helping others. The more we give we allow the experience to shape the way we interact with people for the rest of our lives :) " your words are exactly how it works. beBee is helping you. That is the reason why I personally try to engage with all of our active and positive bees. Simply help people, be human, engage one another. We want to communicate with one another need proof just take a look around watch a couple use sign language, laugh, have fun. Superb article. I find it easy to give as in sharing and recommending others. Actually, it's easier for me to share others material than it is to share my own. Well said. What goes around, comes around... and I mean that is a very kind way :))

Kudos to Preston 🐝 Vander Ven and Javier for the brilliant buzz (which I've shared in the following hives: "Social Marketing Solutions" and "Publishers & Bloggers" and "Marketing and Communications." Here are a few more quotes on "giving" to consider: "We making a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give." -- Winston Churchill "No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of others." -- Charles Dickens "It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving" -- Mother Teresa "Help others without any reason and give without the expectation of receiving anything in return." -- Roy T. Bennett ("The Light in the Heart") Wishing all bees a wonderful week filled with beautiful buzz! cc: John White, MBA

There are two ways of looking at it. One , to give without expecting anything in return. It is getting out of the comfort zone. Another being that by being natural, we are our natural giving selves. Being natural is the most comfortable state of being. It all translates into reciprocity. Having personal interests doesnt spoil the equation, often it is our tendency to measure things after we have decided to give it This is not a criticism but an add on to a wonderful buzz. One may look at it your way or my way, ultimately it is the act of giving that serves as a bedrock :) Enjoyed it .thanks to you and @preston van derven

For every action there is a reaction, but not necessarily right away. Mostly, when we do a bad act such as cursing at one person the reaction shall be immediate and the insulted person shall curse back. Most often there is a time lag between the good action and reaction and unlike the spontaneous bad actions. This happens when we act and share, like and comment on other bees' content. They might not respond instantaneously, but surely when they do a butterfly effect may be acting. Their delayed appreciation shall be compounded to account for the delayed time in reacting. This is a super buzz Javier 🐝 beBee and is worthy of reading. Shared
