Will LinkedIn do anything? Keep LinkedIn, Explore beBee

I am a LinkedIn user.  LinkedIn is a huge business directory. Whenever somebody gives me a business card, I add the new contact to my LinkedIn network and I drop the card in the bin. That's all but it is very useful. It allows me to keep my past & present contacts. I can say I like Linkedin but I don't enjoy it. New User Interface & Experience is really frustrating.

Facebook also allows me to keep in touch with my family and friends. I enjoy their lifes. I can say I love Facebook but my closest relationships are more private than professional. On Facebook, User Experience is great.

Microsoft bought LinkedIn and a great mass of people is complaining again and again. LinkedIn is becoming frustrating.

| just cancelled my LinkedIn premium subscription.

| was paying $20.00 a month but with their Jan 2017
changes they took most of the valuable functionality
away - especially advance search and searching 2nd
and 3rd degree contacts. To get this functionality
back you have to upgrade to a more expensive
version 4X more. They have ruined LinkedIn.

Here you are some examples but If you are an active LinkedIn user, you will see this stuff daily.  Tones of messages and nobody is listening ? I don't think so. The problem is.... Microsoft needs to monetize after paying the bill. Much more "great" surprises to come for sure. Get ready for showing your money !

LinkedIn will not do anything about this as
they made their billions. Now it is all upto
Satya Nadella to sort this out. The current
outcry and dissatisfaction is so high, it could
kill LinkedIn pretty quickly. It is time to
replace the top management and the design
team in LinkedIn. | look forward to a new
chapter and overhaul - it is has been due for
sometime

They feel they have the market cornered
which they technically do at the moment,

I am disappointed in LinkedIn on many levels.
However, until | find an alternative this will be
my go to business social media site.

LinkedIn fails to realize that an increase in
price, or a change, must add value to the

LinkedIn has natural habitats and fishing grounds for beBee.

The vessels are able to be relocated to other fishing grounds like beBee, probably fishing less than they fished in LinkedIn. 

Smart fishers see opportunities in new fishing grounds. Keep on fishing in LinkedIn - because it is huge ! , don't you think it is a good reason? . But you shouldn't depend on ONE fishing ground. You already know the big fishing ground is becoming difficult and the new small but growing fishing ground , is a very promising one.

Big success comes with big challenges. In my humble opinion, you have to be a smart fisher to detect new opportunities coming around. Nothing is perfect but we can make a new ground grow very easily. Good fishers see opportunities where most of fishers see only problems !

Javier \ud83d\udc1d beBee i would like to precise that i am not a LinkedIn or Microsoft detractor, i am just realistic, and if i were them and want my monopoly to survive , i will keep doing extravangaza again the BCS (Big Common Sense). So how much do you bet ? A supper with tapas & wine in Cordoba ? Haha!
at some point linkedin will be reduced to a sharepoint feature, and you will be all force to subscribe to microsoft 365 sharepoint evolution...How much do you want to bet ? Linkedin is a Recruiters website with options that come and goes. But it is effective since hiring managers will start witha linkedin screening (not all of them Google search rules ! Likwe the people you quoted, I've gone through all of the frustrations and ups and downs on LinkedIn. Worse because I have been so heavily involved in group management. At some point you have to recognize it is what it is. Nothing remains static. If a platform no longer meets some of your needs, you move on. LinkedIn is still good for finding contacts, staying in touch with existing clients and former colleagues, and for peer to peer discussions in the few groups where there is still engagement. Don't look to LinkedIn to get a lot of traction for your blog posts or leads for your business. It's definitely not worth posting on LinkedIn Publisher. Hardly anybody sees the posts. If you work at it, LinkedIn does generate some website traffic.Twitter sends some blgo traffic. Facebook is great for finding family and it has come in handy as genealogy is one of my hobbies. beBee definitely fills some of the gaps in these other platforms. As you stated, never put all eggs in one basket. Businesses need a suite of tools to meet their needs.

I will keep Linkedin and enjoy and build my personal and professional Brand on beBee. beBee is my passion and LinkedIn has all my candidates who rely on me. Great read Javier \ud83d\udc1d beBee, exactly the reason why I came over to beBee, (2 days ago), and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far. As has been mentioned on other comments I'm maintaining my profile on LinkedIn due to the years of investment into it but I think I'll be far more active here

Kudos on another excellent read, Javier. You artfully articulate the reasons why BEEing on BeBee simply makes good sense from a user's personal and professional perspective. As noted, user complaints about LI continue to skyrocket. These legitimate gripes range from the lackluster new user interface, to stifled user engagement, to a diminished publishing platform, to lack of customer service, etc. -- all of which add up to a horrible user experience. One would think the top brass within LI's ivory tower might show some concern and humility about the conspicuous this list of growing gaffes. Rather, a countless number of once loyal LI users have instead been greeted by a purported reckless indifference to their legitimate concerns. Or, in other words, they've rudely been given the proverbial "F" finger by LI and told to buzz off. The inevitable result: users flee for greener social media pastures. Fortunately, beBee has positively positioned itself to BEE at the right place at the right time as a promising and better alternative. The future of beBee is growing brighter with each passing day. Thus, you, Juan Imaz and the entire beBee team -- including all the ambassadors worldwide -- deserve many accolades. The news of major change in LI is certainly a call out of their evolution in the wrong direction. More importantly it is the call for BeBee to understand the matrix of their discontent. BeBee stands at a crossroads of understanding the cause and effect model in social media. Keeping the masses happy is not an easy challenge. Just some thoughts about the future. People will pay a price for what they perceive as value. Given this thought social media, especially the affinity style, should consider the distillation of users through out a column of existence. Being able to maintain the column where different users with different needs can coexist is the structure needed. Considering social media as a shopping mall that has discount stores on one end of the column and high end shops at the other. Allowing the user to distill themselves through out the column (mall) will be the path to success. LI is looking for a specific range within the column where BeBee is wanting the whole column of users, affinity. Affinity sounds good but will require a determining process of distillation for its user base that allows for distinct groups too form within the larger group (Stores within the mall). People will pay for this distinction and the need for typical free/advertising set up will not be needed. The fee for service model will work if the distilled column represents the users needs and value points.
