10 Things That Can Hurt Your Business, And You Probably Don't Even Know You're Doing Them.Just time for a short one today. We're off to St Catharines to do legal stuff and find some flooring for our new house.
This is a listicle I put together a while ago for a small business network group I was talking to. Since there are a lot of entrepreneurs and starter-uppers here, I thought you all would find it useful.

10 Things That Can Hurt Your Business, And You Probably Don't Even Know You're Doing Them.

1. Not responding promptly to calls and emails, be they queries or clients, (India based SEO companies are the exception)
2. Not answering your phone if you are capable of answering.
3. Answering your phone when you are already on the phone...this pisses off two people at the same time.
4. Not following up promptly on referrals.
5. Not keeping the referrer in the loop.
6. Sending a quote and not following up immediately to discuss it.
7. Taking on more work than you can handle at any one time.
8. Charging your client for something that takes only 5 minutes to do, when you could earn real   loyalty by not charging for it.
9. Not following up on jobs to see how things worked out.
10. Not asking for a reference, referral or testimonial from a client you had success with.

Okay, so that wasn't so bad now was it? Of course, I'm sure you all will have a few of your own, so write them in the comments and I will fatten up this list.

And number 10. I always feel too embarrassed ...I thought (still sort of do...but now I'm beginning to wonder) that people would just do that if they felt that you really helped them...I always do --if they really did.

I shared this on all my platforms, it definitely needed sharing. The fact that people would do some of those things at all is shocking. I take it you have been on the end of some, if not all of these misdemeanours.
