Ten Things Trump Supporters Need To Come To Terms With Before The Next Election.

Set aside for the moment, the personal insults and the irrational ramblings that have become part of Trump's modus operandi and public persona and the following is what you will find:

1. Trump Does Not Care About The American People: All you have to do is listen to him speak. It’s always about him. Never the people. Never his supporters, only him and tiny inner circle.

2. Trump Has Added $3 Trillion To The US Debt: This is not winning or smart business or anything else that he promised.

3. Trump Has Separated Asylum Seekers From Their Children, exposing these children to incredible trauma, and in a few cases so far, death. This is inhuman behaviour and a situation he is totally ignoring.

4. Trump Is Not A Christian: He possesses no Christian values. He is simply an agnostic opportunist looking to gather support from people of faith. Because that’s all he cares about.

5. Trump Has Shamelessly Promoted His Businesses While In Office, which is against the law, and an abuse of power.

6. Trump Has Sown Dissent Between Republicans and Democrats, mainly though lies and mis-direction, which are the hallmarks of a con man.

7. Trump’s tariff war with China has done nothing but damage to American manufacturing, the retail industry and the agricultural industry. In fact, many economic indicators are now pointing toward a recession in 2020.

8. Trump’s continual refusal to take a hard line with Russia over election interference and their aggressiveness in eastern Europe is a true indicator of how much control Vladimir Putin has over him

9. Trump’s loosening of regulations for domestic industry is already starting to create chaos all over the country, which again shows his complete lack of empathy for the the people of his country. At the same time he has gone out of his way to sabotage the renewable energy industry that is the key to managing climate change and job growth in the future.

10. As evidenced from the recent NATO Summit, world leaders continue to not just lose respect for Trump, but actually consider him a joke. And you really have to wonder if this is the kind of image the US is happy projecting to the world.

These points are really just the tip of the iceberg. There is much more below the surface.

The American people are quickly coming up on the most important election in the history of their country.

It’s critically important that voters really start to educate themselves on just exactly how this president has performed in office and whether that is indicative of a country moving in the best direction for all its people.

It’s not enough to just listen to this man telling you all kinds of stuff that does not sync up with your own reality. You really need to think this though before you vote.

Because from all indications so far, he is not working on your behalf, or supporting the constitution of your country, which was the oath of office he swore three years ago.

He is simply working for personal enrichment and that of the wealthy and the corporations, at the expense of all the things that need to be taken care of to keep the country the land of opportunity it so proudly purports to be.

Any true American would see what is going on here as nothing more than what it is. An attempt to exploit the office of the  president for personal gain, either directly or indirectly. And very effectively distracting the public from all this larceny by sowing the seeds of division between the left and the right.

At the end of the day, you are all Americans. The way you move forward is not though division, but through communication and finding common ground.

And if you can do that, you will see very clearly that the Trump agenda has nothing to do with making America great. Only making Trump richer.

Good luck.

Bloomberg is the only one who can cover all the angles. All the others are losers from the start. And we better pray that Bloomberg wins because if not, then we are in a load of hurt and it won't stop in 2024...right now, America is staring at Germany 1933 in the face...that's scary

Someone down in California interviewed a bunch of people down on Venice Beach. He asked if they thought impeaching Trump would be a good thing. Across the board (and this is California), they said, "No, don't impeach." Why> Because many of them thought he was doing a good job. Based on what? What he's told people, that's what. Employment's great (it's not, they lost over 700,000 jobs). Trump isn't taking any shit from China (no, he's taking enormous shit from Russia and Saudi Arabia). He's building a wall (how long is that wall, so far? Many of these people think it's DONE!). Whoever wins in the Democratic primaries, they'll have to overcome all the wrong-heading, misleading information Trump has pumped into them. If that's Bloomberg, fine, but God he's got his work cut out for him. Americans need a reality check. It's amazing what they believe and where they place their loyalty. Unfortunately, they need a major disaster to wake them up, and heaven knows, it'll have to be major and destructive as hell. I hate to think that's the only way to wake them up, but it's the only way.

Robert Cormack...I think it's all based on who they think has a better chance at beating Trump. Who can run the country best is something they will figure out later. I think Bloomberg makes sense, only because he can effectively argue the false narrative about the economy that really is Trump's strongest hold on his base, outside of racism. I do believe that Bloomberg would fill his cabinet with people who are problem solvers, and smart ones, as opposed to hacks and sycophants This country is fucked if they don't get rid of Trump. The stuff he has done, even just to stick it to Obama, is obscene and will soon take its toll on the people there. Sickness and disease are coming, from polluted water and air courtesy of all of Trump's deregulation. Worse hurricanes are on the way too. All that bad shit. Lots of new dead people. Lots of thoughts and prayers.

I'm surprised everyone's saying Bloomberg is the only Democratic candidate who can win. I like Bloomberg, but the rationale behind electing him president doesn't differ from why Republicans elected Trump. This notion that only billionaires can run the country ignores one truth about billionaires. They understand expediency. Expediency is expected in business. It's how billionaires become billionaires. It doesn't always translate into statesmanship, which a leader needs to run a mammoth operation like the United States government. Statesmanship includes compassion and iron will combined. It's practical and reasonable, honourable and trustworthy. We have so few statesmen and stateswomen today, we honestly don't know how to judge them. Maybe Bloomberg is a good choice, but we have to get beyond saying, "He's a billionaire, so he must know how to run a country." They aren't even closely related, and I hope voters understand that when they go to the polls. The United States needs integrity (now more than ever, especially in foreign diplomacy).

Jim, Agree. Who can win? Bloomberg has moved from 0 to 7% in two weeks. With enough time he could climb into double digits. BUT right now there is no candidate in the crowd that can win against Trump based on the polls. To replace agent orange we must find a way to win in the Midwest and the south. The coast are already liberally oriented. It is in the heartland that the battle will be won or lost. And so it goes.

Philippe Collard. I actually agree with that sentiment.

One word TITANIC sums up His Presidence. To Trump it means his effort to make America great again. To us observing from across the pond, it's a big ship heading towards the iceberg.  Let's hope the voters are not rearranging the deckchairs, but finding a Captain who can avoid sinking.

Jim Murray How do we win then: simple. Pick a candidate who can win. There is only one: M. Bloomberg. All the others are losers, promoting idiotic idealistic ideas whose sum total is in the gazillions trillions $ or have no business running for POTUS (Cory Booker, E. Warren, B. Sanders, why don't you all stay home). Mayor Pete, do you really believe that a gay man is going to be elected POTUS in the US? Really? We should do away with the primary, nominate Bloomberg and run a year long campaign. Make sure everybody can vote. Make sure everybody will otherwise, come November 2020, we will see, once again, that a candidate who did not win popular vote got elected POTUS. SInce Bloomberg will spend his own money on the POTUS race, re-focus the entire pot of Dems money on the Senate, House and local election.

Jim Murray All valid points. There probably are another 100 to ad to the list. That being said, "Trump voters" fall into three buckets: the very rich who simply want a big fat tax cut or oil, pharma industries who want to be able to operate without regulations. Don't count on them to change their mind. Then the worst of them all: the middle class folks who see that he is promoting "conservative" values (as in: we don't want gays in the military) and gave them some amount of tax relief. These folks who call themselves "xians" do not mind a POTUS who believe grabbing women by the genitals is "a OK". Don't count on them to change their mind either. Then you have the deplorables, the really stupid, uneducated, neo fascist, "I love the confederate flag", "go back to your country", etc etc...most of these idiots are barely educated and Trump gives them a sense of purpose. They will vote for Trump even if he shoots someone on 5th Avenue (as a recent panelist recently said "I would have to understand why he shot the person to begin with". They find validation of their miserable life in Trump. It is not their fault that they are so stupid...but I resent the fact they have the right to vote. If you want people to show an ID to vote, then I request that they also show an IQ test! Bottom line, none of these folks will change their mind.
