COME BACK TO REALITY... EVEN IF ONLY FOR A LITTLE WHILE

COME BACK TO REALITY... EVEN IF ONLY FOR A LITTLE WHILEI get it.  I like being on the gadgets all day too. I try my best to give my kids and wife some ample me time. Its tough though because often our "free time" collides and we just want to "connect". Even the creation of this content is hypocritical in its own sense. Exploration through your digital outlet trying to answer the question, "What did I miss?" (FOMO).  What did everyone else do while they weren't around you, and now that they are, to talk seems ..... almost crazy.

I went to a kiddy party the other day and I was trying to make conversation.  You know; Whats your name?  Which kid is yours? blah blah.  It was like pulling teeth.  I introduced myself to a few of the parents I got a few names, and a couple of smiles, but back to the gadgets after that. Like sheeple, or zombies.  Wow!! Life must be super exciting, so much so, its difficult to even enjoy.  Living vicariously through other peoples experiences and emotions.  Why not get out there and create your own.

I fish everyday, for just ten minutes(sometimes a lot longer). Now this doesn't mean you have to go start fishing, but do something. I also try to do some form of activity outside, everyday, beyond fishing. If you can get out there and do something the next day you will have real experiences to talk about. I'm not saying that digital isn't powerful and remarkable and well all those things that digital is, but, dammit people wake up smell the salt, snap out of it.
