Tom Ford's First Watch Collection Already Looks Like An Instant Classic
Tom Ford has become synonymous with high-end designer luxury in recent years, particularly since the world-renowned brand began dressing Daniel Craig in the James Bond franchise. His sharp suits, effortlessly stylish sunglasses and beautifully crafted accessories have made the designer one of the biggest names in modern fashion - and now it seems he'll be competing in the hugely competitive timepiece market, with his debut watch collection.
After announcing his intention to produce a line of watches earlier in the year, the ex-Gucci designer has finally given us a peak of his new collection:
Reminiscent of the hugely popular Cartier Tank, the Tom Ford 001 Collection features a slim, unisex design that screams timeless style. Including a range of luxury straps and colours including gold, silver and matte black, the watches will undoubtedly be sought after by fans of the brand.
Although we don't know much about the movements powering the timepieces, we do know that Tom Ford partnered with Bedrock Manufacturing Co. - the same group behind the globally popular Fossil brand. Given that link, I would suggest they're likely to be powered by batteries, rather than the more expensive Swiss movements powering high-end watches from brand such as Rolex and Omega.
If you want to grab a watch to go with your Tom Ford sunglasses or tailored suit, you may have to wait a little while, as an official release date has yet to be announced.
