Tweetable Understanding

Tweetable Understanding

This is a "tweetable guide" to my stuff.

Tweetable UnderstandingOkay, I give up.

You have all the intellectual focus of ... an adorable cartoon canary.

So here it is: 140-characters-or-less guide to my blather.

This week's topic:

UX Understanding

These tweetable links are a guide to a short (14 slide) intro to the User eXperience Practice that's on my website.

UNDERSTANDING :  Usability defines the competitive advantage.

WHAT IS UXP? : UxP is an Umbrella

ORIGINS: UxP is the point of integration for several disciplines.

ART OR SCIENCE?  There are two major approaches to the usability role:  Researcher/ Designer.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?  Just Call Me "Slash".

THE UXP ROLE : Implementation, Collaboration, Strategy - This is Multi-Dimensional UX

... IN DESIGN :  We implement Design Solutions. It's an ongoing iterative process.

... IN THE TEAM :  We are the Point of Integration.

... IN THE ENTERPRISE :  Are you an Innie or are you an Outie?

THE VISION THING :  UxP is the "buzzword in good currency" .... this week. Ultimately, UX is History.

HOW IT FITS TOGETHER :  Process + Deliverables = Infrastructure

THE VISION THING : UxP defines Effective Team Process.

UXP AS A BUSINESS :  The challenges to the enterprise are cultural and operational.

THE CHALLENGES AHEAD :  The current challenge is to deliver ease-of-use. The future challenge is change.

A MANIFESTO OF SORTS :  Consensus, Traction, Solutions

#3 Please don't call me 'adorable'... or I'll have to turn in my man badge... I prefer 'ruggedly handsome' although people always laugh when I say that.

#4 hmmm ... "clicked on many a link thank you...but nothing happened" sez @Praveen Raj Gullepalli
Just double-checked here, but was not able to emulate the problems you describe (i.e. It all works okay for me).

No finger-pointing just yet ... but here's an observation:
* I do my editing in LinkedIn first (it's also published there at - give that a shot, Praveen)
* then I copy it into beBee
* because beBee's editorial platform is kind of - I believe that the technical term is - 'suckalicious'.
* I've noted the editorial problems to beBee for months. Still no response. Except for harassment from overzealous beBee Aficionados.

Anyhow ... if all else fails, please just go to the source. The 14-page deck is at

Cared more than a tweet or two and clicked on many a link thank you...but nothing happened John! Even your webpage opens not! I could access your LI Profile though. So....the cat that ate the canary is now well and truly outta the bag! ;)

#2 "Convergence, Cross-Pollination, and Collaboration" are the underlying design motivators for me. Along with Satire.

The "tweetables" are simple pungent one-liner excerpts from the articles themselves. A variation on "Hooks":

1) You write.
2) Then you find the grain of truth.
3) Then you tweet it.

Yes, you are adorable, @Aurorasa Sima. And so are you, @Kevin Pashuk
