A New Angle.

A New Angle.

There comes a day when we have outgrown our old selves and are ready to wear our new skin. Bringing a new angle to our lives can make all the difference. They say that we keep on creating the same results, if we are repeating the same habits, over and over again. All what we attract in life, is based on what we have created in our minds first. So let us look more closely at ourselves and observe what is going on there. With a little distance. As if we were watching someone else.

*watch thoughts:

When we get up in the morning, what is the first thought that comes up in our minds? Is it positive, negative or something in between? Does it match with our life vision? If not, we still have the power to choose another thought. Choosing the matching vibration on mind level can create little to big miracles in our reality.

*watch feelings:

How do we feel during the day? Do we feel a zest for life or is something draining us? If the latter is the case, is that something that we really want? How would it feel, to look at the source of our energy stealer? Can we replace it by a new source of positive energy?

*watch words:

Let us listen to our words. How do they sound? Do our words reflect the reality that we desire to create? Or do they reveal that which we are afraid of? Are we using our words as shields to protect ourselves from the change we are craving for? We are good at keeping change from our doorsteps. It feels so comfortable.

*watch answers:

The universe delivers an infinite stream of opportunities. It is the truth. We are the only ones we keep ourselves stuck. We are just asked to say yes when the present comes along that makes us really happy. Do we have the courage to say yes to it? Or do we close our eyes, pretending that we do not deserve a greater life?

*watch results:

Here is a message for the goal oriented souls among us: let us look at the basket that contains the results of all our efforts. Where are we? Have we made progress? Is the outcome in line with what we are striving for? If not, let us not beat ourselves up and accept our current position. We are walking on a learning curve. What could we do to improve ourselves?

A new angle can bring us the oxygen to breath with more conviction. What new activity can we undertake today to bring the sparkle back in our eyes? Our eyes are meant to shine. Like stars. Let us not wait until we are old and grey just to realize that time just passed by. Let us see ourselves with new eyes and start today! At the finish line, faith will welcome us with a smile. It already knew a long time ago that we would make it!

Also, here's a great motivator IMHO to repeat when someone's morning begins (as deemed appropriate, of course, based on one's religion, spirituality, etc.): "This is the day that the Lord hath made, I shall rejoice and be glad in it." Well, at least it works for me. I find great meaning, peace and motivation through faith. There are similar sayings that can be found in the Book of Psalms. I also like the motivational messages of faith preached by minister Joel Osteen per his congregation in Houston, Texas. Most probably know his sermons are nationally televised on various cable TV networks and he is also a best-selling author.

What a great read, Liesbeth, really exemplary for self-reflection and introspection. Keep in mind I may be a bit biased here not only because I hold you and your writing in such high esteem, but also because I'm nearing that mid-life age in which you so deftly describe, "We have outgrown our old selves and are ready to wear our new skin." For me, this involves my current job situation of over two decades in the public sector and my strong desire to transition and move forward with new challenges ASAP. The funny thing is that everyone always says things like, "Just be happy you have a government job" and/or, "the private sector is very risking in today's gig economy." In short, I receive much more negative feedback then positive. But I know because of that little voice inside (my gut feeling, intuition and instincts) that it's time to move on rather than hold on. Yes, taking that leap of faith with no risk no reward. But then fear of the unknown surfaces to hold me back. Therefore, your brilliant blogging buzz really helped me to view my own situation with a sharper focus. Albert Einstein and others have said," "Insanity [is] doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." cc: Javier \ud83d\udc1d beBee

Liesbeth, We are all defined by our actions. Your advice can change those of an individual and, in doing so, change their view of themselves and the world of them... if the world is noticing. It is nice to see the linear thinking capabilities of the woman I think of as a direct connection to a creative writing experience.

Hi . Thought provoking buzz and timely for me as I am immersed in issues of identity, human and cellular memory. There is a connection. There is a theory that the body replaces itself with a largely new set of cells every seven years to 10 years. I find this fascinating as this suggests that we are continuously in a form of transformation. I agree with your perspective of being consciously aware of what we think, feel, and do. Being observers of ourselves in relation to the world around us can be a very grounding experience and can return some of that control in our lives that we feel we have lost. Thanks for the tag Liesbeth.
