Castle Subconscious

The night was long. He could not sleep. A shadow approached. Grey. Not black. No face. The air was cold. Freezing cold. He wanted to run. Far away. His muscles felt weak. No support. Almost paralyzed. Heart beating so fast. Headache. In the middle of the nightmare, it seemed. No time to escape. The shadow reached a hand. Hard as stone. He had to leave his warm bed.

Following the shadow. The clock ticked. They arrived in the biggest space of the castle. The mirror room. Where kings and queens dine. Looking at their own reflections. Time after time. The shadow showed him a brown chair. He had to sit down. A big screen appeared. Bigger than two country houses. He was blown away.

The shadow pressed a button. The movie ready to be seen. Past lives scenes. Right before his eyes. Chance of a lifetime. To open the door to what once had been. Cause and effect clear as water. Chapters of a book. Reading the whole story. Understanding why, when and how. He looked at the shadow. It began to change.

The shadow transformed during the scenes. Adding bright colors to its energy field. A heart appeared in his body. Piece by piece. Once broken, now healed. A beautiful transformation, never seen. The temperature in the mirror room was rising. The man next to the shadow was deeply impressed. He witnessed something special. Unique.

The movie had ended. The man found the roots of his behavior. Grateful for this event, he turned to the shadow. In that very moment, an explosion occurred. Smoke all around. Green sage. For a moment nothing to see. Then, suddenly, he found that next to him his twin brother was sitting. Healed and powerful. The best version of him.

The twin brother smiled happily. Time for you to go, older brother, he whispered. "I am a prince of light now, you belong to the past." The man that could not sleep was gone. The bad spell was broken. For once and for all. The sun warmed up the castle. A beautiful effect. Everything looked brighter. Better than in a dream. The prince prepared to meet his princess. A charming queen.

Captivating Liesbeth. Don't we all strive for our better selves? and surely it takes an explosion of change in thought and deed.
