Conscious Living

When we are watching the news lately, the coronavirus demands the spotlights position. It is part of life. We need to be careful not to get stuck in the news. The best we can do, is to take some intelligent actions. Then let it go. And sometimes the answer to such ongoing events in our broader environment, can be simple. For example, in the shape of words with a certain meaning. Let us keep our wor(l)ds as pure as possible by taking our responsibility to create a better world. By remaining close to our own heart, we can stand the test of time. The outside may be challenging for many of us, yet by keeping our inner world balanced, we can do so much more. This poem is created as a reminder of this for us all. Please enjoy this simple gift. 


The warm sun comes up every single day

In her own unique and shining way

Giving instead of taking

A perfect choice in the making

Remaining truly pure

That is the ultimate cure

The humble leaves respond in colorful green 

That is the wanted scene

Grey clouds are forever a part

Yet, they are on the go, that is the art

Conscious living and giving

That is the new smart

Great piece, and great questions! The modern world is a difficult place to navigate, and in this increasingly interconnected world, I think that it's integral to tap into these humanistic one-on-one interactions. It's easy to feel like a just a number these days.

Thank you Liesbeth for the inspiring article / poem. It's easy to fall into the mode of unconsciously reacting to the news (if you can call it that!) instead of adopting a more wholesome attitude. We don't have to be ignoring the viral situation (no pun intended) that the media bombards us with, but we can take it with a pinch of salt. We, as a species, have survived much worse over the centuries and we'll probably survive this one too. As the old Arab saying goes "the caravan passes, the dogs bark" or something like that. Cheers!
