I Once Feared The Unknown. Now I Love It.

I Once Feared The Unknown. Now I Love It.

The unknown can be scary. We have no idea what to expect. Leaving our safe heaven can be too much for some of us. We might prefer to stay in the scene where we are the movie director of every single detail. We love to feel that we are in control of every aspect of our lives. We could stay there for ages. It does not ask too much from us. We just need to breathe. Repeat the same old patterns over and over again. Our environment is used to our behavior and likes our calm wave. However, when there is a voice inside, that is screaming for our attention, we need to master the art of listening to ourselves.

Maybe all it takes, is looking at the unknown from a new angle. What if the unknown would be like a fresh boiled egg, full of healthy nutrients? We might never know what is on the other side of fear, when we do not have the courage to leave our comfort zone. One thing is sure, when we always stay where we are now, we will never sense true growth. Inside the bubble of the unknown, a lot of beautiful opportunities are waiting for us, to give us the chance to expand our thinking and feeling. Every human being has their own unique growth potential.

Let us admit it, it all inspires us, when we see that someone had the courage to step outside the circle of predictable results. Secretly we dream also from a more brave way of life. If only the circumstances would be different. If only someone would hold our hands. If only someone could ensure us that we would be fine. If only we would be younger. If only we would have more money. At the end of our lives, we will regret the parts that started with 'if only'. Life is a series of moments. Each day we give a little of our self, of our heart and soul to the big experience called life.

U nderneath our clothes, there is a beating heart. It has its own intelligence. It communicates with us and if we really listen to it, it will tell us a lot. What and who we really love. Are we aligned with this precious intelligence?

N obody can ever decide for us how to live and love. We are all unique beings. We have the right to make our own choices and to live the life we always wanted to live. That is the gift from the universe, to each one of us.

K arma, is what we create by the choices we make. When we respect our heart's desires and do no harm to others by achieving these, life will always reward us. It is one of the laws of living a fulfilling life.

N ow is the time to act upon our truth. There is no reason to postpone our happiness. Life is short, before we know it, we are writing the final chapter. Until then it should be a priority, to honor our unique personality with actions that underline it.

O xygen is created by growing. We make more room in our soul and heart by opening up to the miracle called life. Let us feel how our life energy flows, when we no longer block ourselves from living our full potential.

W onder seeds are planted in the soil of the unknown. They might become the most mesmerizing plants and flowers if we give them more than enough love and attention. Let us watch how they grow and enjoy who we are becoming.

N ever before, we had so many opportunities to be the creator of our own Hollywood movie. We live in a highly connected world. We can always reach out to others worldwide, to make our dreams come true.

In a previous chapter, fear was the worst thing we could feel. All kind of fears would keep us on the ground. We were afraid to die, because we were afraid to live. We were afraid to change, because we were scared of the unknown. In our new chapter, let us accept that we die and love to be alive now. Let us embrace change, because it is the only way to receive the most beautiful gift there is in life: to grow into the best version we were meant to be. Let us not play small. It is time to think big and act upon it. Let the infinite power of nature and the universe take us higher. Let us break our old fear patterns and replace them by new patterns of love. In all areas of our life.

I usually visualize my personal Unknown as being "outside." You have thoughtfully reversed that with powerful "inside" images for an Unknown that is hidden in the heart, in the egg, in the bubble, and in the seed hidden under the soil.

The unknown is known by someone else. There is comfort in this statement as we consider moving forward. If i can communicate correctly and identify those that my unknown is their known, i can navigate and share a journey with that person. Control is something i must give up in order to share the journey, i must be teachable. For me to do this i also must understand my own pride. Pride is the biggest maker of fear. The walls of pride stop me from seeing past many obstacles to my own success, creating a journey where fear funnels me past success. The irony, one of the greatest joys of existance is helping others through their journey. The person we helped had to stow their pride and accept the shared journey. Yet i cant release my own pride. The word karma is interchangeable with narrative. A prideful narrative creates a blindness that establishes a reoccurring theme of missed opportunities. Thought proving post.

I'm still waiting for more good Karma :)) All kidding aside, wonderful points As for the unknown, there are times I want to know and other times it's best not to know.

I never feared the unknown. I almost started too but the scariest thing is knowing exactly what you are doing ten years from now amd not liking it.

Thanks so much, Liesbeth, for this poetically profound and inspirational buzz. You make many excellent points. I was watching a music documentary on HBO the other night in which Bruce Springsteen offered some words of wisdom about a very successful music producer on his first album, "Born to Run" (the music producer is not well known outside of the industry). Springsteen attributed to this music producer's success to: "A tremendous lack of fear for moving forward." The music producer provided this sage advice: " Make fear your tailwind, not your headwind." It's also about putting fear by the wayside and confidently taking that leap of faith into the unknown. That's the way to achieve success. But it's easier said than done.

Writing on beBee is double joy, I so love these connections to work that you have been reading, lovely how you bring it on the table, thanks for having read the work of Madeline L'Engel and sharing it with all of us Larry Boyer, \ud83d\udc1d Brand Ambassador

Your words are reminding me of some that I read in Madeline L'Engel's (of "A Wrinkle in Time" fame) memoirs (The Summer of the Great Grandmother, I believe). She said "We're all afraid of the dark". But the context of these words was deeper and with multiple meanings, including death as the ultimate darkness. It's also the ultimate unknown.
