I See What You Cannot See

I See What You Cannot See

The forest was white. White as snow. Soft as feathers. It was dark. Not much was going on. Just one warm being on a branch of a tall tree. Looking in all directions. As he could do so. A gift from mother nature. His yellow eyes were focused. Nothing could bring him out of concentration. His voice went on a magical tour that night. His inner voice could be heard far away in all directions of the world outside the humble forest. 'I see what you cannot see', was the sound of it.

He woke up with some delay. It was hard to do so. His bed was a mess. As if the war just had started. The sheets witnessed some heavy fight. His body was tall and more gorgeous than he would ever perceive himself. Suddenly he remembered his dream and the words 'I can see what you cannot see' popped up in his mind. A strange message. But oh what an impact this had on his day.

He looked in the mirror, hoping that the reflections would give him some clues. He looked into his own eyes. With question marks. The eyes communicated with his soul. He smiled at his own image and it smiled back. What a coincidence. He asked himself out loud, what he needed to see. The owl in the forest looked at his reflection in the mirror and made some sounds that came from deep in his belly. Magic in the air.

The sounds become words and turned into phrases and a story came along. A story that told the truth from another angle. He listened to the story with open mouth and big eyes. The art of listening was activated. The owl transferred all ancient knowledge to his heart and mind. The channel was open. For a little while. Then smoothly the man could see what he could not see before. The insights were unfolding easily.

He woke up a second time that morning and remembered his experience. It seemed a dream but the owl knew the truth. Everything in his world had changed. He looked inside the mirror and saw a glimpse of his future. Such a bright one. The main actors and scenes were well chosen. Completely aligned with his nature. His heart reached a degree of gratitude that was never felt before. He finally could see the unseen. It brought him happiness and so much more.

She loved him. She observed him from a corner of her eyes. Wearing nothing but a white t-shirt. Her hair a beautiful mess. The mirror showed a kiss. Soul deep. The owl sang a song. Closed his eyes. Focused on bringing the melody with the voice of Frank Sinatra. Still possible as there was magic in the air for a little while. They started to dance into their chapters of love. One after the other. In neverending bliss. The owl remained faithful to their story. Ready to support when needed. The owl and the man could see what others could not see.

Well, if this man could see where I've put my charger, please let me know! :-) Jokes aside, this is a very nice narrative. Is it part of a novel?
