The Eagle That Learned To Fly His Own Course

The Eagle That Learned To Fly His Own Course

Morning in the mountains. A cold breeze woke up some of the animals that had found a shelter under and in between the rocks. A breeze that demonstrated strength and decision. But the animals had only one thought on their mind 'Too early. Too soon. Sleeping feels so well'. The sun was not present yet, or remained invisible in the moment. An eagle opened his focused eyes. He stretched his golden feathers. Blue eyes. A beautiful creature. So to say. Confirmed.

He practised some mindfullness. Eyes closed again. Being. In a flow. Minutes passed by. Peaceful living. Everything around him happened as it was meant to be. No rush. Only happenings. Unfolding as such. Nothing more. Nothing less. A little eagle appeared in his memories. She looked small. Really small. Wings almost neglectable. The eagle improved his focus point. Was curious.

The little eagle watched her big brothers and sisters and studied how they were navigating through the air. She was overwhelmed by their art of flying. As if they had done nothing else in their entire life. She felt powerless. Was she really an eagle? It did not seem so. It did not feel so. She looked at her feet. They could move. Check. She looked at her feathers. They were present. Check. Oh my God, but where were her wings?

The bold eagle watched her thinking mind. He noticed with his observing mind the way the little eagle made an assumption so far from the truth. He saw her Wings clearly. They Always had been there. The problem was that she was blind to her own strengths. So she could not see her Wings yet. He decided to help her. He asked the sun to raise the temperature. That way she would crave to stretch her Wings, to get more balanced.

The sun did what she was told to do. She came as her master called her. The sun spotted the little eagle and gave her all her loving warmth. The little eagle looked up at the sky. 'Thanks but no thanks.' Too hot. She started to sweat. Temperature in overdrive. Solution needed. The little eagle panicked. She did not know what to do. Intuitively the answer was near. In the moment she stretched her Wings to cool down, she felt relieved. She smiled. The sun made her aware of her Wings.

The bold eagle was proud of her. He decided to watch her a bit longer. With her awareness of having Wings, she started to use them. She was no longer interested in watching her brothers and sisters fly in their unique rounds. She was eager to fly her own course. This memory was from long ago. Now she was sitting next to her loving bold eagle. Timelines united and childhood and adulthood celebrated together the overcoming of fear. Transformed into love.

Back to Life. Back to You.

Do you recognise the image of the little eagle? Sometimes we are too blind to see our own capacities. Maybe we are afraid of failing. The feeling of shame for failures could be an issue. What would other people think if we fail? Knowledge about weaknesses can be stronger, if we come from a critical environment. We might never hear about our strengths. Do we wait until the heat burns us? Maybe it is time to look a bit further, to meditate how we can make a difference in the world with our strengths. Life after all Always seeks balance. If you have weaknesses, you definitely have strengths too. Failure does not exist as long as you keep on going. Not trying is a failure. All else is your road to success.
