He knew the theory. Very well. He was allergic to practice. It made him feel uneasy. Leaving his comfort zone was not his duty. He left it to others. Years passed by. He made a living out of it. King of rules. Protecting his royal field. He lived in a castle. Green all around. Not too far away a series of apple trees. He never tasted an apple. Not even one. Never ever. He had found a book of excuses not to deal with them. He was aware of their value. He could give a long speech about it. Healthy in theory. Resisting the practice.

She was a queen of action. Making it happen. Filled with joy. Loving progress. She could live without books. Her parents could not stop her. Driven to succeed. Allergic to theory. She kept her shoes only a year. They were walking constantly. Repairing them was no option. She adored performance and achievement. Apples were her most wanted fruit. One day she discovered the apple trees. In theory she could have decided to just look at the apples. She took a chance. Said yes to opportunity. The apple tasted deliciously.

Then she fell asleep. The apples were injected with a magic substance. Closing her eyes for a while. That was his idea. He wanted to study humans who were actively engaged to make a difference in this world. The power of action. He took her to his laboratory in the castle. He would not harm her. He was just doing scientific research on how practice works. She was beautiful. He noticed her crown. He felt weird. His heart was moved. Books everywhere. She slept further. He could not stop watching her. She was shining her light even when she was asleep. A diamond.

She looked healthy. He brought her under hypnosis. She was able to answer him from that state. A miracle. "What is your relationship with theory?", he asked her gently. She responded that theory was not her cup of tea. She preferred to dive into action. "Why did you decide to touch the fruit of the apple tree?", he continued. She replied that she was curious about the taste of the apples. "Were you not afraid of being poisoned?", he went on. She said that she was committed to let go all of her fears since childhood.

He felt ashamed. Luckily she could not see his face. A long time ago he made an error. He blamed himself for it. He could not let go the fear of failing again. Old habits felt safer. He started to shake. The jacket of theory, a warm place. The opposite behavior awakes. A true eye opener. He tried to find out why she was reluctant to study the theory. She laughed. She confirmed that she was impatient. A weakness revealed. He felt better. She was not perfect either. Mirroring is most effective. Learning ensured.

In theory he could have continued with his questions. To find even deeper truths. In practice she would not have been an obstacle. He brought her back to reality. She was too curious to escape. Her blue eyes stared into his green ones. The Wizard of Oz in action. A song of love written. Instantly. Theory met practice. On a rare afternoon in autumn. They could not help falling in love. Their kiss came out of the blue. Behind the apple tree. Outside in the green wide open. They felt balanced. He left his comfort zone by kissing her lips. She realized that theory needs practice. Birds singing happily. Soul much joy.
