The Strawberry Cupcake Project
The strawberry was aware that he had to make sacrifices. Could he accept that assignment? Ten other strawberries did not pass the job interview. They were afraid. The thought of having to give up a huge part of their personal time was horrible. They were no longer interested in moving forward in the interview process. They did not believe in a positive outcome. Their dream job ended there. But the eleventh strawberry had a different mindset. He looked at the advantages only. 'When I want to belong to the top, I have to enhance my skills. And when I am cut into two pieces, people will see the essence of my value', said the strawberry. His courage and openness got noticed. The jury decided that he was in the team.
The cream heard about the project. He called to know if the job was still vacant. 'He had to be flexible', they said. They also mentioned that an allergy for strawberries was a problem. Team spirit and positive energy were required because the cream had to support the selected strawberry. Color blindness was also a difficulty. The color red was important. This would set the boundaries well. Superficial behavior was not accepted. They needed multiple layers. A strong personality. The cream had lots of professional experience and flexibility was one of his strongest assets. He once knew a strawberry and they shared beautiful memories. So it was fine. The cream made it into the team and the strawberry was pleasantly surprised. The cream was so delightful in his pink clothes. Red and pink are a match made in heaven.
The cake was reading the newspaper and saw the advertisement for the strawberry cupcake project. 'My chance to do something meaningful', he silently whispered. He wrote an email to the jury. After a week, he got an answer. It was the sweetest reply he ever read. 'Dear cake, we want you in the team', they wrote, 'we are convinced that with you among our team, we will make all the difference. We like your color, your degree of sugar, your smell and most of all, we love your stability. We need a strong basis to make the whole recipe a true success'. The fact that the cake always persevered, convinced the jury. The cake was so proud. Finally recognized. A happy dance. A quick prayer. A shower of gratitude. The strawberry cupcake project was launched in June. It was a huge success. The team was committed to sticking together. They could fiercely rely on each other. Delicious to watch.
