Sometimes, we need to do what makes our soul feel happy, what is good, what is honest, even if it’s not what others would expect from us. Right? 

I found this today and wanted to share it with all of you:


The Paradoxical Commandments.

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.

Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.

Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.

Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.

Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.

Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.

Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.

Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.

Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.

Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.

Give the world the best you have anyway.

Sorry, I did not see the notification before 😅. "Sometimes, we need to do what makes our soul feel happy, what is good, what is honest, even if it’s not what others would expect from us". Of course!!!. "Have you had an experience where you “did it anyway”? Yes. I followed the priorities dictated by my heart. Even if the socially correct priorities had dictated that I should have saved money, I should have paid bills, I inverted that money in going to two events. I live in Madrid, I went to Salamanca to do a workshop to show that it was beBee and I went to Sopela in Bilbao to listen to Javier BeBee, in a wonderful presentation, in Salamanca I read a quote from Voltaire with which I feel identified. * I have decided to do what I like, because it is good for my health. I invested in filling my backpack with good moments, happy memories, that help me in bitter moments ... Yes, I did it and I feel very good.

One of the companies I work with was a bit vague with the whole payments thing. I was promised a quite generous amount of money for every hour I dedicated to any one of their projects. Still, I didn't get paid until very recently (apparently there was some paperwork I had to take care of before getting any money). Still, I put my best effort in my work there anyway. Eventually it was worth it, but I had no way of knowing that beforehand, since most tech companies of that size never make it!
