MUSICIANS: DOES PERFECT PRACTICE MAKE YOU A STAR! #Musicians #Singer @songwriters
The Art of Songwriting: Does Practice Make Perfect: While the age-old saying suggests that practice makes perfect, researchers have found that practice alone doesn't necessarily lead to success.
What leads to success as a musician is finding your unique sound as an artist.
Knowing who you are as a musician and an artist is going to be the most important thing in your music journey!
YES! YOU NEED TO PRACTICE, BUT NOT TO BE PERFECT OR A STAR!
The saying practice makes perfect is a stupid saying, but the more you practice the better you will get because you will gain more experience as an entertainer and a singer and songwriter.
Practice helps you find your sound, your vibe man!
It is really hard for an artist to find their own style and not sound like every other musician on the planet.
We do not need another Taylor Swift no matter how much we lover her or another Bob Dylan or Adele or Nina Simone. These artist already exist and are a heard all over the world and most importantly, these artist are not you.
Do not think of practice as making perfect. Think of practice as discovering who you are as an artist.
You have no excuse not to discover who you are as an artist. Not practicing is dangerous for a musician. It can cause depression. If you cannot afford instruments, get a notebook and focus on your lyrics until you can afford a guitar.
