Should You Teach In China (Adventure) or South Korea (Security)?


Hello,

My Name is Lyon Amor!

Some of you might be wondering if you should teach in South Korea or China.

I am hear to answer that question because I have experience teaching in both countries now.

It really depends on what you are looking for.

In South Korea the situation is a little easier to navigate for a first time traveler. South Korea is the easier country to adept to and adjust to. You do not need a VPN in South Korea to use google maps, Facebook, Instagram, etc. South Korea does not have extreme censorship of social media apps and other forms of media like China. 

China does lack freedom of speech, which some people might find uncomfortable. In China you will need a VPN to get on most of the websites and social media apps you use back home.

Truly, you are "Brave Lyon" ... your spirit of adventure is to be much admired. Traveling into foreign countries ... adapting to language, culture, food, currency this is no small thing Lyon. (the average person could not do this) I trust God is going to use these experiences for a larger purpose. I enjoyed your overview of teaching experience between China & S.Korea. China has a "wild West" feel ... more entrepreneurial Your ability to speak naturally before a camera (meaning not rehearsed) is very good ... you are growing. I have shared this with students hoping they catch your energy.
